Nicholas Hawthorne ! "seventeen", really 319, vampire-ny coven, womanizer, here to scope out the witches.l- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - It was the beginning of another school day and Nicholas leaned his back against his black Masarati, tossing his keys up into the air, catching them, and then tossing them up once more. Technically, Nicholas had been signed up to start attending The Parthenon the day before, but he hadn't been in the mood and thus had decided that waiting another day wouldn't cause any damage. The reason that Nicholas had been the one to have to go to The Parthenon to scope out the witches was because he looked the most like a teenager. He had been turned when he was seventeen and thus could still pass himself off as a senior. The other members of Nicholas's coven all looked a bit older and would thus not really blend into whole high school scene.
At the idea of blending in, Nicholas let out a small chuckle as he continued to toss his keys up and down. Sure, he looked like he was a teenager, but Nicholas found the idea of blending in with the other people attending this school absolutely ridiculous. Nicholas had a very high opinion of himself and he, in no way, thought that someone of his good looks wouldn't stand out in some school.
Feeling himself becoming bored, Nicholas looked at the large, expensive watch sitting on his wrist to see that it was just about time for people to start arriving to the school. Nicholas had managed to arrive to The Parthenon rather early. For one it was because after having grown up in the royal court in Britain he had a thing about being punctual, and secondly, Nicholas was an expert at driving well above the speed limit in New York City traffic. Putting his arm back down, Nicholas arched a brow and wondered what these witches would look like. The entire coven was very interested in them and Nicholas intended to be the one to supply the coven with all of the information they could ever desire on the witches.

Olivia was walking, once again, to school. She had gotten use to getting up early and following the same path to school, it was becoming a route for her. Usually she was one of the first on campus, since she didn't really tell her friends that she didn't have a driver any more. Her family had to cut back on a lot of things. Her mother was only making so much with the gallery and her father was too busy with his new family.
Olivia tried to stop thinking about that. It was another day at school. Yesterday was in the past, though it was one hell of a day that no one could easily forget. Olivia stepped inside of the gates to the school and walked directly to one of the girls' favorite tables over by the steps under the shade of trees. She was too busy in thought about the events yesterday that she missed the boy tossing his keys up and down by his car.
Olivia took a seat by the table and waited for her friends. Once again, just like yesterday, Olivia pulled out her cell phone and texted her friends to see if they were awake. She had to admit she was the mom of the group. She just couldn't help watching out for her friends.

Nicholas Hawthorne ! "seventeen", really 319, vampire-ny coven, womanizer, here to scope out the witches.l- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Nicholas had to admit that he was actually getting quite impatient with these kids. What was wrong with them and why were they not at the school already? Nicholas frowned deeply and grumbled under his breath, glancing at his watch once more. Nicholas had never been a particularly patient person and the fact that he had nothing to entertain himself with at the moment was only making him more impatient. Pursing his lips, Nicholas glanced at himself in the cars side mirror, running a hand through his hair in order to achieve the perfect messy look. Just as he was running his hands through his hair, Nicholas noticed a rather strange and alluring scent in the air. Nicholas's hands froze and he removed his hands from his hair, turning around and once more leaning against the car. As his eyes came up from the mirror, he noticed a girl walking through the gates of the school and sitting down at one of the many tables. Nicholas arched a brow and sniffed the air, once more noticing the scent. It was definitely the scent of a human, but it had a sweeter touch to it.
A broad smirk came over Nicholas's face as he realized that this had to be one of the witches he had come to keep an eye on. Nicholas chuckles to himself and stuffed his car keys into his pocket. Grabbing his school bag in one hand, Nicholas once more leaned down to look at himself in the car mirror. Nicholas ruffled his hair, straightened out the collar on his blazer and fixed the cuffs on his sleeves. Once Nicholas was assured that he looked absolutely perfect, he stepped away from his car and walked forward. Nicholas walked through the school gates and right past the table at which the girl was sitting. However, as he walked up to the front doors Nicholas stopped in his tracks and walked right towards the table at which the witch was sitting at. Nicholas was going for that whole, I'm a bit too hesitant to talk to anyone, thing.
"Erm, excuse me." He said as he came up to her table, his British accent lacing each and every word. Nicholas grinned at her as he waited for her to look up. Nicholas was trying his best to supress his trademark smirk, but it just kept taking over his smile. It wasn't really a worry for Nicholas because over the years he had found that women found his smirk attractive. "Hello Miss. My name's Nicholas and I'm new here. I was just wondering if you could just tell me where everything is. I feel like it'd be awful to get lost." Nicholas added, his voice had the usual soft, suave tone that he used to attract women to him, yet he had taken it down just a knotch.

Olivia sat by herself off to the side of the parking lot, playing idly with her cell phone in her hand. None of her friends had texted her back yet to let her know they were awake. Probably most of them were just getting up. She rested her head on the palm of her hand as she glazed up through the trees at the gray sky. Olivia's ears listened for the rustle of the tree leaves as the wind picked up. A sudden breeze ran across her body; her long dark hair lifted up and danced in the wind. She was so content for that one moment until her attention was carried else where. She heard a voice right beside her, "Erm, excuse me." Her head whipped around and the breeze, just as quickly as it picked up, stopped. She sat up as she looked closely at the boy. She had recognized him around the academy. His looks would be hard to miss. Olivia noticed how well dressed he was, some of the boys in her class tend to be on the messier side, but not this one. "Oh hi..." was all Olivia managed to say to him in a soft, delicate voice. She tended to be the quieter one in the group. "Hello Miss. My name's Nicholas and I'm new here. I was just wondering if you could just tell me where everything is. I feel like it'd be awful to get lost." His voice was just so smooth and velvety; it made Olivia's insides just melt. To add his British accent on top of that was just too good to be true. Olivia glanced around her to make sure her other friends weren't hiding behind her. Normally the guys came up to her when her other friends were around her. It was strange for one just to approach her like this. She decided to keep going; if she was dreaming it sure as hell was a good one.
"Hi Nicholas. I'm Olivia. Welcome to The Parthenon. I could show you around. I've been here long enough. She gave him a sweet and innocent smile. She was horrible at flirting and so didn't try to.

Nicholas waited for the girl to look up and when she did, he was pleased to see that she was a rather pretty girl. At least if he had to get close to these girls, he wouldn't be seen walking around with someone whom was unattractive. Nicholas had a very high opinion of himself and of his reputation and he always took great care to be seen in the best of company. After all, in the eyes of many people, those whom you associated yourself with were merely reflections of who you were. Nicholas in no way wanted to an unattractive reflection of himself. As the girl took in his appearance, Nicholas chuckled inwardly to himself. Nicholas could tell that his appearance was going to draw a lot of attention to him at this school, and he couldn't help but feel quite pleased with himself over that moment. Anything that fed his vanity always made Nicholas happy.
"Pleasure to meet you Olivia." Nicholas said with a half-smirk, half-smile, as he nodded his head politely in recongition. "That's a lovely name you have." He added smoothly. Though telling a girl that she had a pretty name was just another line that Nicholas used to get girls all flustered by his presence, Nicholas actually had to admit that he liked the name Olivia. It was nice, simple and clean. You rarely found another person named Olivia these days for all the girls now had odd, untraditional names. Nicholas didn't like conforming to the times and anything that was closer to the classical time in which he grew up in pleased him.
When Olivia offered to show him around, Nicholas smirked on the inside, but kept a pleasant smile on his face outwardly. This girl seemed rather nice and open and Nicholas figured that finding things out from her wouldn't be too hard. "Really? That would be absolutely fantastic Olivia. Thank you very much." Nicholas said before running a hand casually through his hair. Yet another technique from Nicholas's massive book. "I have to admit I was rather nervous about starting a new school. That's why I didn't show up yesterday, but I mean, if everyone's as nice as you are then I can see I was worrying for absolutely nothing." Nicholas said as he held out his hand to help her up from where she was seated. Nicholas wasn't particularly worried of his hands being cold for he was wearing a pair of black leather gloves.

Alex slipped into her school uniform, and shook up her hair to give it a ragged look, then went downstairs. "Jess, come on!" She called up the stairs. Her foster parents had already left, and Alex didn't feel like walking alone today.
Soon, Zack and Mike came downstairs, and Alex hugged them both. "Morning. Where's Jess?" She asked, and Mike handed her her book-bag. "Hangover." He answered simply, then took his keys off the hook, and went out to his black corvette.
"Ah." Alex said, and walked outside with Zack. Zack got in the backseat and climbed into his car seat, buckling himself in. Alex smiled and buckled herself in as well. Even though he was 5, Zach still liked using his car seat.
When Mike pulled into the school parking lot, Alex blew a kiss to Zack, and got out. "Later you guys!" She said, shuttng te car and waing at them while she watched them drive away. Alex turned on her heel and saw Olivia talking to some guy at their bench.
She just shrugged it off and skipped over to them. Plopping down next to Olivia, she playfully poked her friend in the shoulder. "Sup Buttercup? And no, I don't have any other way to greet you." Alex said with a grin.

As Nicholas waited for Olivia to take his hand so that he could help her up, Nicholas saw another girl headed right their way. Nicholas arched a brow and looked at her as she sat herself right down next to Olivia and poked her side. Nicholas bit down onto his lower lip to refrain from groaning at this new presence. He had just been about to get Olivia to show him around and hopefully tell him a bit about herself and then this girl had randomly showed up. Nicholas forced down his groaned and forced a pleasant smile onto his face. However, Nicholas's annoyance at this new presence disappeared when he smelled the girls scent. Her scent was a bit different from Olivia's, but close enough so that he instantly knew that she was one of the witches.
At that realization, Nicholas's forced, fake smile, became a genuine smile. In the back of his mind, Nicholas couldn't help but think about what a lucky fellow he was. He had only been on the school grounds and he had already met two of the infamous witches he was supposed to find out about. "Erm, hello." Nicholas said to the new girl, smiling at her as he resumed his act of being the new, British student on campus. "My name's Nicholas and I'm new here." Nicholas said, grinning.

Alex smiled. "Hi. Im Alex." She said, her tone sort of tired.
She'd come home from the club with Jess late last night, and was still a bit tired. He's hot! Alex thought, eying him up and down, smirking a little.
"I bet Olivia could show you around if you're new. I wouldn't be able to, since, I don't really pay attention to school at all. Psht!" She said with a laugh.

"That's a lovely name you have." Olivia smiled and nodded politely. She was kinda use to people saying that about her name, mostly because no one else had the name. She liked the name since it was unique and had an old world charm to it. There was something about this boy that also made Olivia think that he also had that old world charm to him as well. It was probably the way he took care of himself and was very polite to her. He was so much like a prince charming to her. "Really? That would be absolutely fantastic Olivia. Thank you very much. Olivia continued to smile. She could feel butterflies in her stomach. This guy was just too good to be true. "Sure. No problem at all." I have to admit I was rather nervous about starting a new school. That's why I didn't show up yesterday, but I mean, if everyone's as nice as you are then I can see I was worrying for absolutely nothing." "There were plenty of students yesterday. I thought you were a Cullen for a minute there. The Cullens are also new students here. A rather large family. We didn't get to see all of them yesterday." Olivia was still rather curious as to what they all look like. Olivia looked down as he offered his hand to her. She found it odd that he was wearing black leather gloves, but some how that also reminded her of old days when people wore gloves a lot. Olivia was in so deep thought about the gloves that she didn't notice Alex until she poked her. "Oh hey Alex. " Olivia sat quietly as the two introduced themselves. "I bet Olivia could show you around if you're new. I wouldn't be able to, since, I don't really pay attention to school at all. Psht!" Olivia chuckled though she could feel her cheeks getting warmer. She looked back up at Nicholas, hopping that he would still want her to show him around. "i could still show you around if you like?"

Nicholas Hawthorne ! "seventeen", really 319, vampire-ny coven, womanizer, here to scope out the witches.l- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Nicholas smiled politely at the new girl who had yet to introduce herself. However, though he seemed the picture perfect, polite gentleman on the outside, Nicholas was actually somewhat annoyed by this new witch. It wasn't that she had done anything to annoy Nicholas, it was merely that she was a bit too hyper for Nicholas's liking. Nicholas preffered people who were much more calm, cool and collected. Nicholas had always been like that, even in his human days. However, that had increased in modern times because people acted so differently than they had acted back when Nicholas had been human that he craved people who were of a more relaxed demeanor. Nicholas chuckled as the other witch suggested that Olivia show him around. "Actually, she was just about to do that." Nicholas replied, flashing Olivia a brilliant smile.
Nicholas's ears perked up when Olivia mentioned that the Cullens had been at The Parthenon yesterday. Nicholas felt his jaw clench and he felt himself getting slightly upset at the mere mention of the other vampire coven. Mentally, Nicholas cursed the Cullens. The interference of the a bunch of veggie vampires was the last thing Nicholas wanted. Silently, Nicholas hoped that he wouldn't run into them today. They'd be able to figure out what he was in an instance and then they'd be keeping a close eye on him to make sure he trip and land with his teeth on one of the students necks. "A whole family, really?" Nicholas questioned, arching a brow as he composed himself. "Well, I'm glad I'm not the only new student then." Nicholas added, letting out a small chuckle. "How many of them are there?" Nicholas questioned, curious to see if the Cullens had brought the entire brigade along.
Nicholas smirked lightly when he saw the blood rush to Olivia's cheeks. In the back of his mind, Nicholas couldn't help but congratulate himself. Twenty minutes at the school and things were already going just as planned. He would have to go out tonight and celebrate. "Oh yes, of course I'd still like you to show me around. It would be a big help." Nicholas said, once more holding out his hand to help her up. The manners and mannerisms that Nicholas had learned as a human at the royal court definitely came in handy when handling people these days.

"How many of them are there?" The question caught Olivia off guard. She tried to remember what Brianna told her yesterday. Brianna was the one that got a sneak peek at their records. "Eight, I believe. Wow, it's a rather large family now that I think about it." It was so uncommon to hear of a family with that many kids and the fact that they are all adoptive was even more strange. "Oh yes, of course I'd still like you to show me around. It would be a big help." Olivia looked up as all thought of the Cullens escaped her. She reached out to his offered hand and placed hers over top of his gently. Slowly she rose from her seat by the table. His mannerisms were so different from the other guys at school. She turned to pick up her bag and to face Alex, "I'll catch you later, okay?" She hoped Alex wasn't mad at her. A quick apologetic look flashed upon her face as she looked to Alex. Olivia turned back around to face, Nicholas. "Alright, let's begin" Olivia lead the way to the front stone steps and ascended them. Olivia watched her posture was she walked with him. She didn't want to seem sloppy when around him since he was doing such a good job at being...well perfect in Olivia's eyes.

Lilly had made sure that she had a black skirt on, but here was no way in hell she was wearing a blazer with a dress shirt and tie. She would probably hang herslef with it by the tim eschool was out. She had instead chosen a vlack Vest over one of her favorte shirts. Her shoes were one of a kind, and she loved them She put all her bangles on one wrist, and then her mothers heirloom tourquise bracelet on the other. She had grabbed a bag from her closet, put her old camera in it along with her credit card, and anything else she might need in case of an emergeny at school She grabbed her blackbery curve at teh last mintute, glad that sshe had remembered to charge it, she didnt remember all teh time. She put on her helmet, and hopped on her baike after waiting in the hotel elevator. Gosh, when was her dad going to get them a place? They were only in new york for a week so far, but come on! She starte dup her lyellow vesba, and rode onto school. She was glad that she wears boxer like under garments, rather than the other alternative. She rode right into school, and parked next to some guy who was looking at himself in teh mirror. She saw Olivia sitting down at teh table and walked over biting her lip. She didnt really know Olivia as well as Alex, but she got along with her at lunch. "Hey, Olivia," She said, the guy had been talking to her, and then Alex came. "Hey Alex," She smiled at them both. She looked at the new guy. "Another new kid eh? Im sure glad im not teh only one," She smiled at him. They were planning to show him around. "Is it cool if I sit here with you till school starts?" When Olivia replied that there had been eigh Cullens, Nicholas scowled for a moment. Realizing his mistake, Nicholas smoothed out his scowl and instead replaced it with a shocked look, arching a brow and widening both of his brows. "Wow, yes, that is a rather large family." He said, nodding his head and agreeing with Olivia. Mentally however, Nicholas was busy cursing the Cullens. It really was quite an annoyance for Nicholas that the entire Cullen brigade was here. If he wanted to avoid being watched like a hawk for the duration of his time at The Parthenon, Nicholas was going to have to avoid the Cullens like the plague.
Nicholas smiled at Olivia as she said that they should begin the tour and he helped her up. As Olivia turned around to grab her bag, Nicholas took his gloves off and instead, stuffed his hands casually into his pockets. Nicholas didn't particularly enjoy the feeling of the gloves against his hand and he would merely keep his hands in his pockets to make sure that they were somewhat warm if he had to make contact with someone's skin. Hopefully that wouldn't happen, but if it did, his skin would be just warm enough not to be seen as too odd.
Just as Nicholas and Olivia where to walk off on their tour, Nicholas saw another girl walking up to where they were standing. Nicholas eyed the tall blonde as she bound up to Alex and Olivia, greeting both girls. In the back of his mind, Nicholas couldn't help but think that the girl was rather attractive and he made the mental note to get to know her as well later. Taking in a breath, Nicholas noticed that the girl's scent wasn't like Olivia's or Alex's but wasn't like a normal human's either. Nicholas arched a brow and also made a mental note to make some inquiry into that. "Hello." Nicholas replied to her greeting, smiling politely at her. Nicholas forced out a chuckle, "No, no you're not the only one. My name is Nicholas." In the back of his mind, Nicholas couldn't help but think that all of this polite small talk was starting to get annoying. Nicholas hadn't been this polite to these many people in quite sometime and it was starting to bug him.
As the other girl started to talk to Alex, Nicholas turned around and began following Olivia up the stairs. Nicholas turned his head and grinned at her, "So what's up first on this tour?" He questioned. As they walked, Nicholas decided that he needed to start the small talk so that he could learn some things about her. "Are you a junior here or a senior?" Nicholas questioned, starting off with something simple and neutral.

"No, it's fine. Since Olivia's leaving me to be with her boyfriend here." Alex teased, knowing that would probably piss off Olivia, and smirking mischievously. Alex patted the spot next to her, hinting fo Lilly to sit down, and gave her a sweet smile. She was glad Lilly wasn't giving her headaches anymore, ans just felt dizzy now.

Olivia gave a quick wave to Lily as she and Nicholas passed them. "Hey Lily" she gave the new girl a warm friendly smile. She hoped to spend more time with the girl later, right now though Nicholas had her attention. He just seemed like one of the characters from the novels she was always reading; the ones you just fall in love with. In the back of Olivia's mind she thought how much longer could she keep his attention. After he sees the other girls here, he'll just pour all of his attention on to them" she thought to herself. "So what's up first on this tour? "Well this is the main hall, it use to be the main foyer when this place was someone's home. " She motioned her arms to show him the hallway. It still had its old style from back when the mansion was first built expect now it had a few lockers lined up along the sides. The school has wooden floors though most of those have been updated throughout the years. Olivia was looking up at the chandelier that hung in the center of the hall when Nicholas asked her, "Are you a junior here or a senior?" "Junior, and you?"
She thought for a moment where to show him next. The school wasn't that large but a new person could still get lost with the many staircases. "What kind of electives are you taking?" It was a great question, one that would answer where Olivia would take him next and show her what he was interested in.
