"That's why I didn't give up on you earlier. I saw it in you."
"Thanks," he said looking to the ground. Shaking off his sentimental mood, William took her hands again and spun her around and then spun himself around. All of the moves he learned when he was twelve were all coming back to him now. As much as he hated it back then, it was a lot more fun now. Especially since he wasn't being forced. Okay maybe Phoebe did force him in the beginning, but she wasn't forcing him to stay any longer. He stayed because he wanted to.
The song soon finished a verse later, and William was actually glad to take a break. He took a minute to roll up his sleeves and unbutton his collar. A hand ran though his hair to get it out of his face as he smiled over at her. She really was something special. She was bringing out the best of him that he didn't even know existed.

Around around they went spinning underneath each other's arms. It reminded Phoebe of a quote from one of her favorite movies, Practical Magic; You ever put your arms out and spin really, really fast? She does it all the time. She does? Well, that's what love is like. It makes your heart race. It turns the world upside down.
The song finished and Phoebe's head was a little light headed from all the spinning she had done. Phoebe was catching her breathe as she looked over to see how Will was doing. She couldn't believe that he was still here. Earlier today seemed like ages ago when he was all but ready to storm out of the teacher's lounge cause it was "people like her" that made him stay out of the teacher's lounge. As he unbutton his collar, Phoebe didn't see that uptight persona she use to associate with him. She grinned that she was able to see him like this. "That was so much fun." Phoebe was fanning herself off with her hands. She had gotten so hot from all of the dancing. Suddenly one rain drop fell on her cheek, then another. She blinked as she looked up. The sky was orginially so clear and in a matter of moments sheets of rain began to fall down. Phoebe started to laugh. "This is crazy!" She exclaimed as more rain became to fall. The dancers and musicians took cover. Phoebe took Will's hand and lead him under a canopy where the other people were. The area was a bit cramped so people were up against one another; that left Phoebe very close to Will. She looked up at him, he had hair washed down covering his face. Her hair was also wet and hung down around her face. "You're so wet." She chuckled. She lifted her hand to move his hair off from his face. She just smiled up at him. (((Ok so phoebe didn't cause the storm I figured I could time this up to when brianna was making out with ryan and she was causing the freak rain storm.))

Unexpectedly, a few rain drops started to fall from the sky, which eventually turned into a downpour. Phoebe grabbed William's hand and lead him under cover of one of the canopies the band had set up. All of the soaked people were squished together in the small space. William stood chest to chest with Phoebe. He looked down at her, strands of his once perfectly combed hair hung in front of his eyes.
"You're so wet." she exclaimed.
"We both are," he joked, shaking his head letting rain droplets land on her face. She reached up to move his wild hair out of his eyes. William smiled at her as her fingers grazed his forehead. Even though her hand was gone, he thought he could still feel the warm trails she left behind on his skin. The crowd of people were shuffling around causing ever one to bump into each other. William put his arms around Phoebe's waist protectively. "No matter where we go, its still crowded," he said with a shrug and a laugh.

Phoebe let out a loud playful laugh as he shook his head to get her wet. She tried to do the same but her long hair ended up hitted someone else in the face. "Oh sorry" She turned to tell the person who just gave her an ugly look back. Phoebe turned back to Will and bite her bottom lip to stop herself from laughing.
As she brushed away his hand, she let her fingers trail slowly along his forehead. The crowd was getting more cramped as more people seeked shelter from the rain. "No matter where we go, its still crowded," Phoebe nodded. "We could try and risk it but Im not sure where else to go?" Phoebe wrapped her arms around his neck as space became limited. She was so close to him that she could look up and see the water drops on his hair. Once again her heart beat increase. Being this close to him she could smell his cologne. She kept her chin raised, looking up at him. She tried to think of something, anything to say to him. "Wonderful weather isn't it?" She instantly regretted it after it came out of her mouth.

"We could try and risk it but Im not sure where else to go?"
"I don't know," he said straining as they got pressed closer together. Her arms snaked their way around his neck. William was so close to her that he could see the drops of water that rested on her eyelashes. He swallowed, becoming slightly nervous. His heart raced and he didn't know why or what the hell he was feeling. All he knew was that he liked this.
"Wonderful weather isn't it?" she said. Her breath felt cool on his skin as it evaporated some of the water. He chuckled at her comment and cocked his eyebrow at her. "I'd say it was perfect weather. I ended up in a great place," he smirked, giving her a wink and squeezing her closer to him.

"I'd say it was perfect weather. I ended up in a great place," She felt him squeeze her closer to him. She could feel her heart pounding through her chest and she found it harder to breathe. She didn't even know it was possible to forget that their were tons of people around them, but she did. As the two of them stood so close together without saying a word, Phoebe felt like she couldn't wait any longer. She arched her neck up to bring herself closer to him. Inch by inch her lips got closer to his until she kissed him. It was a soft warm kiss. It was something she always wanted to do to William ever since she saw him on her first day of teaching. She held onto the kiss for as long as she could.

William inhaled as Phoebe inched closer to him. It all seemed to go in slow motion because it really wasn't what he expected from her. Feeling like he was being magnetically drawn to her, he moved his face in towards hers. He parted his lips just as her lips met his. It was so different from any other kiss he ever shared. It wasn't rushed or fueled by need. It was slow, soft, and sweet. One of his hands made its way behind her head and tangled in her wet hair. William sighed into the kiss, as if all of his stresses were just melting away and the only thing that mattered was her and him.
Someone behind him bumped into his back, causing him to break the kiss and stuble a bit. "Hey, watch it!" Willaim yelled over his shoulder, then looked down to Phoebe with a sheepish smile.

The kiss was better than Phoebe could ever imagine. It was so soft and gentle but yet so natural between them. The way his hand moved to the back of her head just deepened the kiss. She found herself leaning in futher into him. Before she had a chance to turn up the heat on the kiss, there was a little bump behind Will which broke the kiss. Phoebe took an deep inhale as Will looked back at her. The two share a sheepish smile and were quite for a moment. The rain slowed down finally, people around them started to venture out from the covering. Phoebe took it as a sign that maybe she should head out too before she went too far with Will. She wasn't sure how much self control she would have if the kiss went any futher. "Maybe I should get going. I had a wonderful time, Will."

"Maybe I should get going. I had a wonderful time, Will."
William let out a sigh and glanced down at the floor as people started clearing out of the area. He really didn't want her to leave. He didn't want the night to end. "Sure," he nodded. His hand found its way to the small of her back as he led her from out under the canopy. "Do you live close by?" he asked, stopping in front of her. William ran a hand through his hair, trying to get it out of his face then put both of his hands in his soggy pockets "I can walk with you, or get you a cab... or something," he struggled trying to find the right words. Honestly, he would do anything just to spend a few more moments with her.

Phoebe was secretly pleased to find him holding on to the date. It was something that rarely happened to the guys she would have first dates with. Most of them found her strange and annoying. "Ya I live pretty close by, Im sure we can walk there. " Phoebe linked her arm around his and lead the way out from under their shelter. The rain had let up so they didn't have to worry about getting any more wet. The air was filled with the scent of when it just rained.
There was still a bit of a walk until they got to Phoebe's house but that was fine with her since she didn't want the date to end just yet. With her free hand, Phoebe moved her hair behind her ear, hoping that she wasn't looking like some wet cat since that would be a horrible way to end their date. She tried not to think about it and to focus on something else. "So I think I did pretty good on our first date. I got you to salsa dance." She smiled up at him.

"Ya I live pretty close by, Im sure we can walk there. "
"Alright," William said as his mood lightened a little. He was very glad to be able to spend more time with her even though he was soaking wet. She linked arms with him, and he let her lead the way to her apartment.
"So I think I did pretty good on our first date. I got you to salsa dance."
William laughed. "I don't think I would have done that at all if you hadn't forced me. It was a lot of fun though." He looked over to her and smiled. She looked adorable all soaking wet, and he loved the way her hair was sticking to her face. The night turned out the complete opposite of what he thought would happen. Instead of turning out horrible, it turned out amazing. He couldn't think of a time when he had more fun.

"I don't think I would have done that at all if you hadn't forced me. It was a lot of fun though." Phoebe grinned so happy that she got him to have fun. She was amazed that he let her in; in through the wall he had built around him. When she looked back at him, he had been already staring at her with a simlar expression he had earlier. The look sent butterflies down to her stomach. "So was it fun enough to maybe go for another date?' Phoebe wasn't going to beat around the brush with Will. There was so many dates in her life where it ended on an uncertain note as to whether or not there would be another date or if the guy would call her back. She felt like with Will that it shouldn't have to be that way. She felt an attraction between them.

Will's stomach nearly jumped out of his throat when she asked about a second date. He inhaled quickly, trying to stop himself from sounding so eager. "Yeah, I think so," he said smoothly with a small smile.
This was a first for him. There had never been a second date with any of the girls he was with. Actually, they weren't really dates to begin with most of the time. He just came home with a different woman most nights, except for this one waitress at the bar near his home. But that ended a while ago. And she was married anyway. Phoebe on the other hand was someone he wanted to spend a lot more time with. He couldn't get the stupid smile off of his face, and it was all because of her.

"Yeah, I think so," "Ok good. " Phoebe tried to sound cool and sly but the grin on her grin totally didn't make it work and she didn't care. She was just enjoying herself and the fact that he wouldn't mind another date with her just sent her happiness level up to a new high. She didn't care that she was wet and that her feet were kinda hurting her since she was wearing heels and salsa danced. She looked up at him and just couldn't help but loved how he looked with his hair wet and how he looked with his shirt unbuttoned just a little bit.
Phoebe forced herself to look around to make sure that they didn't miss her apartment. Phoebe turned the corner. As she took each step closer to her apartment, she wished that the date wasn't closing to an end. Though she could always invite him up but she didn't want to be that girl that sleeps on the first date and if she did invite him up that would be exactly where it would go.
It was a brown stoned apartment building with two nice columns in the doorway with a lantern to give it some light. Up on the third story was Phoebe's balcony. You could tell it was hers because of the multicolor lanterns and the flower beds on the railings with long green vines dripping down. Hers was the only one that was nicely decorated. Phoebe paused in front of her place. "This is me.." She sound regretful.

William strolled along side of Phoebe, hands in his pockets. He was replaying the events of that night in his mind. The one moment that stuck out most was definitely the kiss. Sure, he had kissed many women in his life time and they all felt the same. Kissing Phoebe felt the same physically, but on the inside Will didn't know what the heck was happening to his emotions. How could she possibly have such an effect on him so quickly? Before today, he never really noticed her before. Now he knew he wouldn't ever be able to forget her.
"This is me.." she said stopping in front of a fairly nice building. It was home-y and in a quiet area. William's place was in a more busy area and more corporate looking. Just being outside of her home felt warm and welcoming.
"I like it," he said, looking up at the one decorated balcony. He figured that was hers and smiled. Closing the space between them, he put his hands on her upper arms and gazed down at her. It seemed so hard to leave. William slid his hands up her shoulders and neck to cup her face in his hands. Something besides his brain was guiding him right then, and he bent his face towards hers. He needed one more taste of perfection before the night was done.
