"No. Never. They normally don't stick around for that long." Phoebe remembered back in the teacher's lounge earlier that day. She remembered his sour mood and wondered if that was how he acted with his dates. She was glad she stuck around for the real him. "That's a shame. They're missing out." Phoebe gave a small grin, she wasn't looking at him when she said it but right after she looked up at him. She took a sip of her scotch and found herself getting use to it kinda like how William was; strong and bitter at first but after a while you got use to it and it just warmed you up.

"That's a shame. They're missing out."
William stared at the table, a small smile creeping on his lips. His fingers played with the glass in front of him. He wouldn't qualify himself as someone to be missed out upon. "I don't know what you're talking about," he joked. "I've got more enemies than friends." William lifted his arms a bit in mock surrender. "Though the only person to blame is myself." He smiled halfheartedly and shrugged as sipped at his drink, eyes darting to somewhere else in the room.

Phoebe watched as William played around with the glass in front of him. "I don't know what you're talking about," "Well I do. I could of just let you walk away this afternoon, but I'm glad I didn't. " Phoebe looked down at her drink and started to spin it around slowly. "I've got more enemies than friends." Phoebe looked up and saw his little surrender gesture. For some reason, it reminded her of earlier when she kept surrendering to him in the teacher's lounge. She kept promising to shut up so that he could do his work but she just couldn't. "Though the only person to blame is myself." "Well you can add one more person to your friends list." She smiled. "And don't blame yourself. It takes two people to form any sort of relationship. If those people are your enemies then they are you enemies for a reason." Phoebe looked around the bar. The place was getting packed with the late night people. As people drank more, their voice levels increased so that you had to raise your voice in order to talk to anyone. "Do you want to get out of here? Just go for a walk? She figured since the weather was nice and it was still a bit earlier, they could just walk around the city. She was also thinking if she drank any more she would just start to talk loud for no reason and make herself look stupid. Fresh air could do her good for the amount she already drank.

"Well you can add one more person to your friends list."
William looked up at her a smiled. "Thanks Phoebe," he chuckled.
"And don't blame yourself. It takes two people to form any sort of relationship. If those people are your enemies then they are you enemies for a reason."
"I don't pay too much attention to it, really." he added. William noticed her glancing around at all the people. He forgot how popular this place got on the weekends.
"Do you want to get out of here? Just go for a walk?
"That sounds like a good idea," he said standing up and reacing into his pocket for his wallet. As the cocktail waitress made her way by, he got her attention and hadded her a fifty dollar bill. "Keep the change," he said to the waitress.
William started making his way through the crowd, turning around to see if Phoebe was doing alright in the mess. He held out his hand for her, so she wouldn't lose him. Finally, after wrestling through all the people, he guided both of them outside of the bar. "I don't think I've ever seen that place as packed as tonight," he said then turned to her. "They must've known you would be there," William added with his charming smile.

"Thanks Phoebe," "You're very welcome, Will" She smiled again. There was just something about Will that she just wanted to see him happy. From the moment she first saw Will, he just came off as angry with his wall built up around him. Phoebe was the type of person were she wanted to see people happy and in a good mood. She was glad that she somehow got through to him. "That sounds like a good idea," Phoebe was about to pay for her drinks when she noticed that Will took care of it. She was glad gentlemen were still alive and well in this city. She had been on too many dates where the guys wouldn't even pay for the drinks. Phoebe made her way out from the booth when she hit a wall of people. "Excuse me...excuse me.." Phoebe was politely trying to make her way through. Will must have noticed that he was losing her cause he held out his hand for her. Phoebe gratefully took it.
After making their way through from the people, Phoebe didn't let go of his hand. I don't think I've ever seen that place as packed as tonight, they must've known you would be there," Phoebe chuckled. She thought it was a very nice for him to say. She kept her hand holding his as the two of them made their way outside.
New York's nightlife was buzzing away. The streets were lit up with lights and people were moving along. Phoebe just started walking without a particular place in mind. The street they were on had several different places, so she figured if a place stood out they would just go and check it out.

William and Phoebe meandered their way down the sidewalk, hands still joined. There were lights blinking all over and cars zooming by. Taxis honked at people who ran across the street. People, most were drunk, crowded the sidewalk; it was a typical New York weekend.
"Its crazy out here too," he said looking over at her. William studied her face, the neon lights reflected by her pale skin. She was purely beautiful, different from his usual choice of blonde bombshells. And she was intelligent, another difference fomr his usual choice. He smiled inwardly, amused at how he ended up with someone so different yet enjoyed her company much more than others. He also thought it was interesting how his number one priority for the night wasn't to get her naked. Not that he wouldn't mind seeing that dress on his floor... Lost in his thoughts, he didn't notice her trying to get his atteniton.

The city at night was such a magical place. There was so much live in New York. A rhthym that pulsed through the city. There was always a light around the city. Whether it be the sun during the day and the neon lights that illuminated from the buildings at night.
Phoebe and Will continued to wander down the street. Phoebe was looking into the store windows as they passed them by. The lights from the windows seemed to light her up. A soft wind brushed against her skin and lifted her hair up some. Phoebe looked up ahead as she heard some live music out in the street. The music sounded like salsa music; it was so lively. There looked to be a moderate group of people around the musicians, some were even dancing in the street. Phoebe looked over at Will with a light in her eyes. She was surprised that he was already staring at her. Phoebe smiled as she tried to take in his expression. "Would you like to go dancing?" She paused for a moment and when he wasn't answering she tried again. "Will? A dance?

"Will? A dance?" he finally heard her say.
"Hm? What? Dance?!" William stuttered when the idea regisered in his mind. She wants to dance with him in the street to some salsa music. Ballroom dancing he could barely get away with, but anything with a steady beat... he was lost. He took his hand from her, then put both hands in his pocket. Staring at the sidewalk he said, "You don't want to dance with me. I have two left feet... sometimes a third. Don't ask me how that's possible, but that's just how bad I am." He gazed towards the band and group of people, running a hand through his hair awkwardly.

"You don't want to dance with me. I have two left feet... sometimes a third. Don't ask me how that's possible, but that's just how bad I am." Phoebe smiled learning something new about William. She liked finding out that he wasn't Mr. Perfect at everything. "Will..." She cock her head to the side and gave him at look like he wasn't going to get away that easily. Before he could say no, she took both of his hands and lead him over to the group that was dancing. She took one of his hands and put it on her hip and put her hand on his shoulder. She kept his other hand in hers. "Come on will it would be that bad. Just take a deep breathe and just listen to the music" Her body loosen up instantly as she took in the salsa music. "Okay one step back" she instructed him.

"Will..."
He looked at her reluctanly. There was no way that he was going to make himself look stupid in front of her. Of course he had no time to protest because she was already leading him over there. She situated him so that one of his hands were on her hip, while the other she grasped and held it up. Alright, not too bad so far... he thought. Coincidentally, that was the same position that they taught him in the ballroom dancing classes his stupid foster parents made him take when he was twelve.
"Come on Will, it wouldn't be that bad. Just take a deep breath and just listen to the music" she said. William shifted, trying to get into the music, but he was feeling too embarrassed to relax. "Okay one step back," she directed. And with a nod, he did. It shouldn't be too hard with her directing him.

Phoebe smiled and followed his lead. Phoebe just loved salsa music, normally she liked anything that was lively and ofcourse salsa music was definitely that. She wasn't too afraid she get into the music , it was hard for her not too since the music was loud enough that you felt the bass. Good." She gave him an encouragement to keep goin. He wasn't too bad of a dancer like he orginially said though he was having a harder time getting himself to relax. Phoebe tried moving her hips and arms a bit more so that it would make him do the same. As she really got into the music, she spun herself under his arm and returned to her position through a bit closer than before.
She was enjoying herself even more. Where they danced, there were string lights up above them that gave off extra light. The whole atmosphere was just fun and full of life.

"Good," she encouraged as she continued showing him how to do the dance. William smiled and gave a small laugh as he stared down at his feet. He was starting to get the basic steps of the dance, and started to feel a little bit more relaxed now that he wasn't afraid of messing up. As Phoebe spun herself around and ended up closer to him, he started to let go a little more noticing how much fun she was having. He laughed as he spun her again, dipping her and holding her there. "I may not be the best dancer, but I am a quick learner," William said slyly into her ear.

The mixture of instruments filled the air with a rhythm that you couldn't help but dance to. As their dance continued, Phoebe felt Will start to loosen up. It was something else, watching him just transform right before her eyes. He started out so tensed and barely took his eyes off of his feet but now his body movements were complementing hers. She was quite impressed by him. Before she even had a chance to complement him, he dipped her so fast that she caught her breathe. "I may not be the best dancer, but I am a quick learner," Phoebe's face was so close to Will's that all she could do was stare into his eyes. "So I can see." Phoebe gave him a sly smile. For that brief moment, the thumping music seemed to be only background noise. He really did know how to take a girl's breath away. Slowly Phoebe lifted herself up from the dip but never breaking eye contact with Will. She could feel herself blushing a little.

"So I can see," she said. William noticed her blush as he brought her back up and gave her one of his charming smiles again. He spun her around and caught her, getting more into the music. The beat was so empowering, William couldn't help but move along with it. He surprised himself with how well his foot work was and how much fun he was having. He moved in close and put his hands on Phoebe's hips, swaying her with him. "Who knew it was possible for someone like me to have such a good time?" his said looking down at her wtih a crooked grin.

Will's smiles were making it harder for Phoebe to concentrate on the music though with him leading it did help her keep dancing. Phoebe found herself giggling and enjoying herself as she watched him do the same. As she spun around again, she found herself close to him with his hands around her waist. Finding herself in this position made her heart beat a little bit faster. "Who knew it was possible for someone like me to have such a good time?" "Well I did." She sounded so confident in her answer. "That's why I didn't give up on you earlier. I saw it in you." And she really did. She knew there was a part of Will that wanted to have fun and not but stuck to grading papers all the time.
