John sat sipping a cup of coffee, holding the phone in his hand. He placed the cup down, and dialed the number from the file next to him, his breathing shaky. He hated this part of the job. Bad news.
At nine thirty, a woman was brought in, and after four test and a CT scan, they discovered she had had an aneurysm. Almost each case he had seen ended with the patient in one place. The Mourge. The record showed this lady's contact was young, which made him even more nervous. Finally, the phone sprang alive. "Hello? Can I speak with Robert Piken, please? This is Dr. Fuller, from Bellevue Memorial, and I think you should come in immediatley."

Robbie came rushing in to the hospital, he approached the fist nurse he came to which ushered him to the doctor who had called him. "I'm Robbie Piken, what's happened with my mom?" His heart was tight, and he felt like he could hardly breath. He had known something had been wrong.

"Please," John said, motioning to a chair. "Sit." He sat infront of him, and looked at the young kid. Worst part of the fucking job. "Robbie, your mother has suffered an mild aneurysm. It occured in a spot of the brain called 'The Circle of Wills.' Its a large group of arteries. She is in a coma, and surgery is almost a definite, because the blood in her brain is putting far too much pressure on the brain itself." he sighed, and stood up. "Is there anything you need? Questions?"

"Damn." Robbie hissed, holding his head in his hands - elbows on his knees. "I should have seen it coming. She'd been acting different. She'd slapped me, and I never even got spanked as a kid. She got very mean and emotional over the last five weeks or so. I kept saying I was taking her to the doctor and it would just make her worse. It's all my fault."
He sighed, feeling horrible. "Can I see her Dr. Fuller?"
