let's DANCE the night away... CLICKY FOR OUTFIT It seemed like ages since the ball had first been announced, but now that it was finally here, Natalie couldn’t have been more excited. With one last look into the large vanity mirror in front of her, Natalie applied one more layer of lipstick, tucked a strand of hair behind her ear and rose from her seat. Natalie’s floor lengths gown swept the floor and she smiled at the thought off how much fun tonight would be. Balls on the Upper East Side were always lavish, exciting and dramatic, but now that people would have their identities hidden, it would probably only exponentially escalate the afore mentioned qualities. After all, long ago, when European royals would become bores with the usual palace balls, they would throw a Masquerade ball in order to spice things up. Hearing her mother calling for her from downstairs, Natalie grabbed her bag and her mask before stepping out of her room and slowly descending the stairs into the marble floored living room.
After twirling around and smiling for a few pictures for her mother, Natalie was finally set free and she took the penthouse elevator down to the lobby where she had her car waiting for her. As she slid into the car, the driver closed the door behind Natalie before walking around to the front of the limousine and getting behind the wheel. Sitting back and leaning her back against the seat, Natalie twiddled her thumbs as the car drove through the New York City traffic. After all of the recent events at The Parthenon, and with all of the new kids that were showing up, Natalie had to admit that she was rather excited at the idea of just being able to let loose and enjoy herself for one evening. After all, when people couldn’t figure out your identity, it was always easier to get away with things.
Before she knew it, the car stopped in front of the hotel where the ball was being held and Natalie bit down onto her lower lip in excitement. The door to the car opened and Natalie climbed out with a bit of help from her driver. Glancing about the street, Natalie slipped on her mask before climbing the steps to the hotels front doors. Unexpectedly, the front doors of the hotel opened up from the inside and Natalie stepped inside only to see that two men, dressed in 18th century garb had opened the door for her. Letting out a light laugh, Natalie proceeded towards the ballroom, her heels clicking against the marble floors. The doors to the ballroom where open and Natalie stepped inside, only to be shocked. Her eyes opened wide and a smirk tugged at Natalie’s lips as she looked out at the ballroom. The room was exquisite and though she was one of the first people there, Natalie could already tell that this was going to be a fabulous night. Securing her mask, Natalie stepped further into the ballroom, scanning the room with her eyes in order to see if she could recognize any of the people who had already arrived. Though she was certain that there would be some people she simply would not be able to recognize, Natalie thought that she would be able to at least identify some people. Letting her eyes wander around the ballroom, Natalie wandered over to the drinks table and grabbed a glass of champagne. Bringing the glass to her lips, Natalie smiled and took a sip. Now all she needed was someone to clink glasses with.
...in the ballroom

Cara checked her outfit once more. She had her hair pulled up into a tight bun, but she also used her powers to change her hair to match that of one of the Cullen's. Rosalie Hale. Her hopes being that Emmett Cullen would see her and think she was Rosalie. Once she was completly satisfied with her look, she put on her mask. She headed to the elevator and rode down to the ballroom. She quickly walked into the ballroom and looked around. She made sure her mask was secure and wouldn't fall. Her blue eyes scanned the room, she spotted Natilie. Smiling that she knew someone, she gathered her dress and walked over to Natalie. " Hey Natalie." She said politely. She was secretly hoping that she'd notice how she colored her hair.

www.polyvore.com/freaking_awesome_callie_outfit/set?id=7503658I tied the black ribbon tightly and stared directly into the side hallway mirror. My long golden hair was in angelic curls that fell on my shoulders, twirling a piece of hair I peeked in the living room to Mother fast asleep. What she doesn't know won't kill her I thought with a smirk as I looked down at my mask sitting on the oak table. The light glitten off the gold, reflecting bright sparks of light onto the wall. I grabbed it in my hands before throwing my small purse strap over my shoulder and then skipped out the door. The cool fall breeze chilled my bare marble arms while my eyes searched for my black limo. There it was my pumpkin carrige with Tomas holding the door open to me. I smiled and waved over to him. With a rush of the steps I ran over and stepped into the black vehicle. Friday New York traffic was practicly a death sentence, but Tom always put me in the right hands. Cars flashed by like a old photograph as the driver thrusted on the gas. It only took a measly 15 mintues, but I got there in one piece. Without lifting a finger, the door open and I was escorted up the white stone steps. I slipped the mask over my head as I walked with my head up high into the hotel. Through the labrith halls I finally made it to the Ballroom, where I saw underclassman already trying to fit in, I rolled my eyes at this as I saw the piece of recitece. I picked up a flute of champagne and sipped quietly waiting for my friends to arrive....and new vicitims. I then saw a familar person next to me. " Nat?"

Natalie arched a brow, her lips turning into a smirk as she watched more people filter in. Natalie thought that at least a few people would recognize her, but she was pretty sure that at least some people would have a hard time telling that it was, in fact, her behind the mask. After taking another sip of champagne, Natalie swirled her glass and watched as the golden liquid spun around in the glass. Though she was absolutely giddy with excitement over the idea of this masquerade ball really getting underway, Natalie had to admit that the downside was that the fewer people recognized you, the fewer people you had to talk to. With a sigh, Natalie decided that, that would be the price she would way for a night of near anonymity and the ability to do almost anything she pleased. Grinning once more, Natalie took a sip of her champagne and watched as a girl in a red dress approached her. Natalie arched a brow behind her mask and when the girl approached her, Natalie’s eyes opened wide. The girl seemed to have recognized her fairly easily and Natalie adjusted the strap of her mask just for security purposes.
”Hey.” Natalie replied, pausing a moment as she tried to figure out who this girl was. Natalie examined the girl for a moment when she realized that it was Cara, the girl she had met in the Pierre bar a few days ago. There was nothing in particular that gave it away fro Natalie and she simply figured that it must have been something about the fact that the girl was also a witch that had helped her figure it out. Natalie ran her eyes over the girl, noting the fact that her hair looked different. ”Your hair looks different.” Natalie stated, smiling lightly before she took another sip of her drink. Natalie had only met Cara once and she had never been one for small talk with people she didn’t know too well. Natalie liked Cara off of first impression, but that was never enough for Nat.
As another girl approached the drinks table and grabbed a glass of champagne, Natalie eyed her and pursed her lips. This particular girl seemed extremely familiar and Natalie racked her brain in order to place her. However, before Natalie’s brain could spit out an answer, the girl turned to her and spoke her name. As soon as her name had escaped from the girl’s lips, Natalie smiled and her eyes opened wide. ”Callie!” Natalie exclaimed in a hush whisper so that the people around them wouldn’t hear them. Sure, Natalie was glad that her friends recognized her, but it was best that they didn’t go revealing their identities to the entire school. ”This is so exciting!” Natalie said to Callie, smiling. ”When did you get here?” She questioned of her friend.

Rosalie sighed as she looked into the mirror. She wanted this night to be perfect. She smoothed out her dress, something she bought during a trip to the mall by herself. She picked up the mask that laid on her bed, and secured it over her eyes. She looked at the door then opened it running downstairs. Without letting anyone else hear, she got into her car, and pulled up the top. Then she drove to the hotel. She parked the car and got out quickly. She made another check on her mask, then headed inside. Once inside, she glanced around, but seeing no one she knew, she sat down on an empty chair, looking for anyone to talk to. Her eyes darted everywhere. On reason she didn't let anyone see her, was so that not even Emmett would know who she was. She wanted to be invisible for once, and just another person. The only people with a chance of knowing would be Edward and Alice. She sighed again, then looked down.

I realized why Nat was being quiet. She was one for the mystery and deception, I love this girl. I clicked my nails against the glass and whispered to her with a low voice. "A few mintues ago, you?" My eyes scourgged the room for any lucky buyers, but once agian no one that was trully reconizable, then agian that was the point to these Masked Balls. Reminds me of the Masque of the Red Death...I know only I would quote Edgar Allen Poe. The warmth of the room blanketed me quite nicely, knowing the smallness of the dress and lace.

Natalie smiled lightly as Callie lowered her voice, quickly catching on to her want for deception and secrecy. Though Natalie wasn't quite as manipulative as Callie could be sometimes, she still loved playing mind games with people and scheming and plotting. That was probably one of the reasons that Natalie and Callie were good friends; they both shared a love of secrecy and plotting. Taking another sip of her champagne, Natalie finished off her glass and set it down on the table next to her, quickly picking up another. It was going to take a lot more than a few glasses of champagne to get Natalie drunk and so she wasn't worried about going over her limit at all.
"Yeah, I only got here a few minutes ago as well." Natalie replied to Callie. Natalie eyed Callie up in down, a small smile of approval coming over her face. "You like nice," Natalie said, complimenting her friend. Natalie turned her gaze away from Callie and swept the room with her eyes. "I feel like tonight will be the prime night for a few mind games." Natalie noted, taking a sip of her champagne as she tried to identify some of the people in the room. Arching a brow, Natalie turned back to look at Callie. "Planning on playing some mind games with anyone in particular?" Natalie questioned.

Brooke stumbled down the stairs, her curled blonde hair throwing itself in her face, causing her to spit it out. "Great." She thought, looking around. "I have no date, and no mask." She sighed, and lifted her skirt, walking down the final stair, and tword the refreshment table, picking up a cup of soda, sniffing it heavily, and smelling the alchol that had beem laced within the orange punch. "Ew." She snapped, throwing it down to the table, and walking over to a chair. "Leave it to teenagers to start drinking before 10 o clock."www.polyvore.com/brookes_masque_dress/set?id=7218777

I smirked over at Nat, swollowing the last of the liquid. My eyes darted down at her beautiful gown then to her humorus eyes. "Planning on playing some mind games with anyone in particular?" She asked, her gaze off into the crowd. My eyes lingered over each gleaming mask until my eyes darted to a table across the room. "Of course, my plaything, but before I sink my nails in him, I have to go and do my job" I said to her before setting my empty glass on the edge of the table before crossing the room. I pushed past the bodies until I ended up at a oak table over in a white linal cloth. I flicked my wrist in the air letting everyone freeze in time. "I never get bored of that" I muttered to myself, trying not to bump into a guy whose mouth was agap waiting to be fed by a Freshmen. I took the hidden bottle of scotch that was put there by some stupid freshmen and made my way back over to Nat. In half step, the room came alive and went unnoticed as if I was never there. I went to Nat and showed off my bottle. "You like?"

Tony sniffed the liquid, the sweet smell as intoxicating as the liquor inside. He took a sip, cringing, as the rum slid down his throat. Setting down the cup, he looked at the girl next to him. She was gourgeous, even in a mask. he wasn't sure how to go about this in America, but he did all he knew, as a slow song came over the Dj booth. He walked over to Natalie, holding out his hand and removing his golden mask. "Would you like to dance?" He asked, worried he spoke too fast, because of his accent, and she wouldn't understand him.

Lilly walked out of her hotel room, and into the elevator. She felt lucky that it was being held at the place thats she was staying. She smiled as she made sure her hair was in place. She had went to get it done not only a few hours ago. She had it done up with ringlets hanging down. Her mask, a gold one, perfectly matched her dress, a long flowing white dress. It was absolutly beautifull, the way that the shoulders hung, and the bodice. she felt somewhat like a princess.
She walked from the elevator, to the ball room, and into a completely different world.
There were people she didnt know here, and she hadnt sppotted anyone else, so she stood by the wall, looking for anyone she might recognise.

Natalie let out a laugh at Callie's response. "Gosh hon, that boy really won't know what hit him. I can't wait to see his reaction." Natalie said, another giggle escaping her lips. Natalie had to admit that she somewhat admired the way that Callie could play with and seduce most of the boys she set her sights on. Arching a brow, Natalie became very curious when Callie said that she had a job to do, but upon seeing that every human in the room had frozen, Natalie understood. Smirking, she watched Callie walk across the ballroom and when Callie returned, Natalie saw the bottle of scotch in her hand. "Very well done, I must say." Natalie noted. Natalie had never been a huge drinker, but she definitely did have some whenever she went out partying. The lucky thing was that Natalie had a pretty high alcohol tolerance and therefore, she usually got to see the other Upper East Siders making drunken fools of themselves before she did anything embarrassing.
Natalie opened her mouth to say something else to Callie, when she heard someone asking her to dance. Arching a brow, Natalie turned her head to see a boy she didn't recognize too well. Natalie smiled as he removed his mask and nodded her head, "Yeah, sure." She said, noting that the boy had an accent and happened to be very attractive. Natalie walked towards Tony, waving goodbye to Callie. "You know, the point of a masquerade ball is so that no one knows who you are. You totally just ruined the effect." Natalie teased, referring to the fact that he had just taken off his mask. Natalie smiled at him in order to show that she was merely joking with him.

Tony chuckled loudly, placing his mask back on his face. "Ah. But if we were to fall head over heels in love tonight, how would I know who to look for?" he asked, gripping her hand gently. "I'm Antony Devallico. But most people call me Tony." He led her out to the floor, keeping thier hands linked. "Besides, I wear a mask everyday of my life, well I used to, anyway. So, why wear one now?"

Natalie let out a light laugh, shaking her head. "I guess you're right in that respect." She replied, pursing her lips and shrugging her shoulders lightly. "I'm not really one to believe in falling for someone that quickly, though you know, if we did fall madly in love with one another tonight, that's when we would reveal our identities to one another. That would make it all dramatic and epic and whatnot." Natalie reasoned, nodding her head as if she had just given some sort of serious, academic analysis. "Well, it's nice to meet you Tony, I'm Natalie Wilson. You can call me Nat, or Natalie. I don't really care either way." Though she had just met Tony, he seemed to be a rather funny guy and Natalie could definitely do with a bit of comic relief after how the past couple of days had gone for her.
As they stepped out onto the dance floor, Natalie arched a brow at Tony's comment. "Well, that was deep." Natalie noted, smiling lightly. "I think that's true for a lot of people around here. But if you think about it, if you wanted to, you could keep that mask on and then just act like yourself. No one would really know it was you and then tomorrow, you could go back to being whoever you usually pretend to be." Natalie paused for a second, arching a brow. "Did I make any sense at all just then?" She asked, laughing a bit.

Draco walked into the ball room, his mask secure. He spotted a blond sitting by herself. Her beauty surpassed everyone else's in the room. He tilted his head to the side and watched her. Finally deciding he had to have her, he walked over to her in an instant, as the doors opened letting in wind. Her scent carried to him. A vampire. He inhaled the scent, loving it. Once he got to her table, he smiled.
"Anyone sitting here?" He asked, putting out his sweetest voice. He pointed to a chair next to her.
