Julian handed the woman her coffee. He counted her as the fifth bitchy smile he had gotten that day, partially because he was in a bad mood. He burned himself on the coffee pot this morning, and spilled coffee about four time in the last twenty minuets. He was debaiting going to college, just to get the hell out of this place. Many people dreamed of moving to New York City, but Julian was quiet the opposite. He want the hell out, before the city ate him alive.

Callie, hiding her vibrating red eyes under a pair of black sceneed sunglasses she stuffed the hospital bags into her purse as she jumped away from the Hospital doors. She walked down the sidewalk until she spotted her favorite coffee shop where hopefullu Julian was working. She tucked a pieace of hair behind her ear and ran to the door. She got in, with the thankfully dim light hitting her covered eyes. She walked up to the order counter and smiled at the displeased order-er person. "Hey Julian" she said with a small grin.

Hey Julian He knew that voice, although it sounded much more soft, and even beautiful. He hadn't seen Callie since he dropped out last year, and to be honest, he need some relief from his hellish day. "Hey stranger, long time no see. Where you been?"

She opened her mouth realizeing she wasn't hungry for anything, but she could force some coffee down her throat. "Coffee, si vous plai, Black" She said with a playful wink that he couldn't see, but the thought mattered. She glided over to let the next customer get his order. "Funish sounds like a diease, you should start hanging out agian"

"Well, maybe I will. Sounds like fun. I miss you guys." He said, handing her the mug. "C'mon I'm going on break. I'll sit with you." He untied his apron as he spoke, and threw it aside, grabbing an apple from the bowl on the counter.

She smiled at him and picked a table near the back. She had missed him, but she was afriad the reason why she wanted him now. She waited for him to sit now as she craddled the cup in her hand, waiting for the warmth to hit her fingers, but all she felt was chills. "So really how have you been. i hate to admit for my shelfish self, but i've been worried 'bout you"

"No reason to be." Julian said kindly. "I'm perfectly fine. I got a nice little place out in Brooklyn, so everything is working out. But thanks for caring Cal, it means alot." he took a bite of his apple, and looked at her wondering, "Why are you still wearing your glasses?"

She smiled, hoping he wasn't lying, but then he mentioned her glasses. "Oh...um, blackeye. Got into a fight, not proud of it" that was possibly the worse lie she could think of of, but she was running out of time to come up with excuses. "You should be proud of me, standing up for myself and all" she chuckled at this, knowing that she never told him about her powers.

He smiled at what she said, and decided to let the topic go, because he wasn't so sure he wanted to know the truth. He took another bite of his apple, rolling it in his hand. "Oh, were going away for a week in the summer, me and a few friends. You should grab some people and join us. Were heading off to the Beach."

She tried to smile as she put a finger in the scalding liquid and started to stir. "I don't think so unless its the Hamptons, if that then you know I can't refuse" She smiled, and contuined stirring watching the steam pour out. She wished she was the same...so that couldn't smell the amazing stench known as Julian's blood.

"East." Julian said, stealing her coffee out from under her and sipping it quickly. "My dad just moved up there, to a house on the beach. Anyone can come, were leaving tonight, so meet at 1st and 5th about ten, so we can all head up. Not sure who's coming, but we all have our bikes, so were gonna ride up." He smiled, placing the cup back to where was sitting. "You in?"

Callie wanted to say no, she new there was way too much temption for one night or however long, but hell, maybe being around Humans will help her appitet. "I'm in," She asked, watching her coffee growing slowly cold. She looked up and her eyes became blue as she watched her old friend.

"Great. Grab some friends. The guys will go insane if I only bring one pretty girl." he laughed, looking at the clock. "Damn. There goes my break. Come with me, I'll fill you in. Your gonna have a great time. I promise." He said, walking back to the counter and tying an apron around his waist.
