"Gia-" He didn't know what to say, he reached out and took her hand, giving it a reasurring squeeze. "Gia, I'm so sorry. I feel like I shouldn't have talked about my parents. But if we are, my dad left when I was two. He was a drug user and alcholic, womanizer. And I hate him, because he pops up now and then." He gave a her a hug.
His phone started to ring, and he picked it up. "Hello. What?.... What? Oh, my god. I'll be at the hospital in fifteen minutes." Robbie's face was grim, it was the wrost phone call he'd ever got.
"Gia, my mom." And at that point he began to cry.

When Robbie squeezed her hand and hugged her, she couldn't stop herself from squeezing back. Her arms went around him and she closed her eyes, holding him tightly across his back. With a dog being her only real companion, she allowed herself to indulge for a moment. It felt nice, to finally tell someone the truth.
Then his phone rang and he began to cry. Gia was shocked, to say the least. Men that she knew, or rather, when she was growing up, she believed that boys were basically taught to never show emotion. Especially not to cry!
"Hey, it's okay," she tried to reassure him and hugged him around his neck. "I'm sure every thing will be fine. Just go to the hospital and be with your mom. We can go out another time, okay? I understand."

"Thank you. I'll get a hold of you later okay." He tried to smile, but he couldn't. He started to walk away, but he only got a few steps before he turned around.
He took her hand and he kissed her cheek. "If you, come by to the hospital later. I don't want to be alone." He smiled sadly, feeling more tears hit his cheeks, before catching a cab.

Gia stood there a moment in shock. She almost wanted to be cliche and put a hand to her cheek, but she couldn't even move. She was too busy watching his cab drive off. He wanted her to come to the hospital! It was so sweet that he wanted her there -- or maybe it was needed? -- considering how they initially started. Biting her lip to keep her smile down, she headed back to the school with a spring in her step. She would see him at the hospital, she would be there for him, and they would worry about their date later.
"Wait a minute!" she exclaimed and halted, ignoring the people around her. He said he'd get a hold of her later, but how? They never exchanged numbers! And he didn't know where she lived! And, on top of that, she didn't know what hospital his mother was at! "Shit! Okay, calm down, G, it's not that big a deal. This just requires some...extracurriculars that could get me kicked out of school." She paused. "If I get caught," she said and smirk slowly spread across her face. She ran back to the school with new purpse.
