Gia was relieved that he didn't blow up at her, but the way he spoke almost made her stop eating and look down. It was easy for her to say to leave, she had left her parents without a second thought. Sure, she missed them -- not that she'd ever tell anyone that, or give them the satisfaction -- but she left parents that weren't even hers biologically. "She gave birth to me, she raised me" -- hearing him say that, it made her ill and a little jealous. "You don't have to talk about this anymore, if you don't want to." She hoped he wouldn't want to.

Robbie noticed that she looked uncomfortable, not looking up at him. He frowned, reached across the table and nudge her head up. "Hey you okay?" He sighed, continuing to eat his samwhich.

A hand suddenly tipped her face up, allowing Gia to stare into the frowning face of Robbie. "Hey, you okay?"
"Y-Yeah. Yeah, I'm fine. Why wouldn't I be?" He sighed, continuing to eat his sandwhich. Deciding to forget the depressing situation, she picked up hers again and began to eat once more. It was then he asked her about her plans post-school. "I don't know actually. I mean, I want to do something worthwhile, help people in some way, I guess, but I just don't know yet," she answered, happy for the subject change, "College is a definite but, again, I just don't know where or for what. How about you?"

Robbie smiled, he wasn't gonna talk about parents anymore. Even though, nosely, he wanted to know why that was a bad subject for her.
He laughed in gest, "Looks can be decieving, I don't look like a do something type. But I'm probably getting an undergrad in bussiness management. Simple, plain, and useful."
He continued to eat his samwhich when an idea hit him, "You doing anything tonight after school?"

Gia looked at him, a little shocked, but smiling nonetheless. Was he asking her out, for real? Slowly, she shook her head. "No. I was just going to go home, do my homework, and be lazy the rest of the night with my dog." Luckily, she could only do this because she had the night off work. Not that anyone at the school knew that, or ever could, or would ever really know what working while in school was like. Well, maybe most of them. "Why, planning too kidnap me?" she joked.

He smirked, "Kidnap? No..." He chuckled eating his samwhich, not speaking for a few drawn out moments. He was asking her out, but he was trying to come up with something to say. "Well, I could kidnap you, but I thought maybe a movie, some dinner? A lot better than a kindap situation, aye?"

"Yeah, that's a lot better than being kidnapped. And just my favorite thing to do, too," she replied. it wasn't a well known secret, but Gia loved the movies. If she had any talent, she'd trying a serious careet in acting. Of course, that's what drama class was for -- to hone her skills. "I'll make you a deal. You can pick where we eat, since you clearly know great places," she said, smiling as she finished her sandwich, "but I get to pick the movie. It won't be a chick flick, promise. I hate most of those."

Robbie chuckled, surprised that she agreed to it so quickly. "I can agree with that. I suck at movie decisions. So I'm thinking.. well. No, I'm not going to say which resturant, you'll just have to find out." He smiled, sortof excited. Something he never really felt. "So, are you okay if I picked you up on my motorcylce? Is it okay?"

Robbie chuckled at her and she couldn't help but pout at him when he said he wouldn't tell her where they were going.
"That's not fair!" she complained amusedly. "Fine! Be that way! I'm not telling you what movie we're seeing then!" Biting her lip, Gia had to keep herself from shrieking with excitement. God, she felt so girly that it was making her sick! What was it about Robbie that brought out her feminine side?
"So, are you okay if I picked you up on my motorcylce? Is it okay?" Gia's eyes went wide and her jaw dropped.
"You have a motorcycle? Is it a classic chopper or a crotch rocket? Oh, who the hell cares? Yeah, it's okay! I love motorcycles! I've always wanted to ride one!" she exclaimed excitedly.

Robbie grinned, "Classic, like old school." He grinned even wider. 'Okay so what time?' He finished his samwhich and got up to toss the garbage out.

Robbie grinned and told her it was a classic. Gia couldn't help but smile excitedly at the thought of riding a motorcycle. It looked so exhilirating, freeing! Her mood dampened a bit when he asked her what time he should pick her up? Pick her up, as in at her apartment? No, that wouldn't work.
"Um, how about we meet up outside the school around eight and go from there?"
He couldn't see where she lived! If he did, he would know that she wasn't rich like the rest of her peers! It was embarassing enough that he books were all secondhand...okay, they were last year's editions that she got for free from work! Bottom line, Robbie couldn't see where she lived.

Robbie cocked his eyebrow, leaning against the table with his elbows. "What afraid I'll turn up at your flat uninvited?" He chuckled, "Okay, eight at the school sounds fine. Or you could come over to my place and go from there. It's not the best of places, but it's what I call home." He grinned and sipped on his drink.
His lips curving up in a grin, 'I thought you were gonna beat me up with your backpack this morning, now you're gonna go on a date with me."

Robbie cocked his eyebrow, leaning against the table with his elbows. "What afraid I'll turn up at your flat uninvited?" She scrambled to reply with a zingy one-liner, but nothing came to mind and she was left sitting there was a look on her face that crossed between amused and stressed. He chuckled at her and agreed that meeting at the school was fine. "Or you could come over to my place and go from there. It's not the best of places, but it's what I call home." He grinned and sipped on his drink.
"No, that's okay. The school is fine. I don't want to intrude or anything," she replied. "Besides, knowing my luck, I'll get lost and then we'll never get to the movie," she joked and tossed her trash.
His lips curving up in a grin, "I thought you were gonna beat me up with your backpack this morning, now you're gonna go on a date with me."
"Hey, don't push your luck! The backpack is still here," she warned playfully. "Think we should we head back to the school?"

He throws his hands up in the air, as if she were gonna shoot him."Hey, hey. Just kidding." He laughs, grinning as they walk out the cafe. He stretches and puts his arm around her shoulder. Breifly but all the same, it's a squeeze of a hug before he drops his arm and continues to walk.
'Thanks for agreeing to everything, Gia. It's been nice.'

The jolt that occurred in the pit of her stomach when he put his arm around her -- however briefly -- was both pleasant and unnerving all at once.
"Thanks for agreeing to everything, Gia. It's been nice."
"Hey, I'm glad I could help. Besides, if you can't dump on total stranger with a good ear every once in a while, your brain is just bound to implode. And I hear that hurts. Plus, there's a major messy clean up," she joked. "All joking aside, I got to admit, I feel kind of bad. You've spent this whole afternoon spilling your guts...and you don't really know a thing about me." As they walked back towards the school, she paused to think of what to tell him. With a smile, she said, "I could walk around relaxing in Central Park for hours. I hate clowns; bad circus experience. I really love Halloween. And...I'm adopted," she admitted and stopped walking to stare up at him. "And the reason I'm in this city is because my adoptive parents basically disowned me and left me no choice but to file for emancipation."
