On the roof of the Four Corners Book Store is a private garden. Its full of many plants and herbs. Leola only invites those witches who are close to her to use this garden. Today the sun is out and the weather is beautiful. Spring had started and so the flowers were starting to bloom which meant the garden had wonderful rich smells. Leola had been setting up for a ritual to send offerings to the goddess and in return the girls could ask of something. It was a common ritual so Leola wasn't afraid of performing it with the girls. She was always careful of what she showed the girls. The girls were young and so could be easily swayed to want to perform dangerous spells.

I pulled on the collar of my black trench coat, feeling my dark green skirt flowing in the cool New York breeze. I sucked on the cigarette, watching the thin smoke blow into the air. I was suppose to be inside, following Mrs. Owens rules and regulations, but I needed something done and I needed it now. I took one more puff before, stuffing the butt beneath my black over lapped boots. I turned beside me and went down the Four Cornors alley. The smell of garabge and gas was pollutating, but I ignored it as I kicked the ground, feeling power roll down my leg. The aftershock of a earthquake hit the block that was almost unoticable, but the buildings fire escape dropped down in front of me. Works every time I thought smiling as I started to climb it. As I got to the roof, I jumped over the ledge. "Greetings and Salutaions"

Leola felt a ripple in the air around her for just a split second. Someone had used magic nearby. Though it wasn't anything big, so she didn't mind it. Leola had laid out a blanket in the center of the roof. She had already made a pentagram using twigs and plants. Crystals and other ingredients were also inside of the pentagram. "Greetings and Salutaions" Leola smiled as she saw Callie enter using her usual spot. There was always an air of resistance in Callie. Leola could see that the moment she tried to help the girls. Not everyone was up for her help. "Well good morning Callie. I hope all is well with you today. Any word on who else will be making up the circle today?" Leola had hoped all of them would be joining them today. THough she did feel some disturbances lately. Just the other day she had quite the argument with Alex. Leola did hope the girl would see that she could learn how to control her magic better than just getting rid of it.

Olivia entered the book store and saw that Leola's assistant was behind the counter. Olivia waved to the girl before heading up the stairs. The girls had met several times up here to preform different spells. It was a good place to practice. Leola knew a lot about magic but Olivia knew some of the girls hated to be under a watchful eyes. Olivia never had any problems with Leola since she was her art teacher. The two bonded and got along with each other just fine. But Olivia could also see where the other girls were coming from. It would be nice to have some freedom in how they preformed magic. They all knew about the three-fold law on magic. Now it should be their choice in how to use it. As Olivia opened the roof door, she was met with some wonderful smells from Leola's garden. it was like another world up here. So peaceful yet you still could here the buzz of the city around them. "Hello Leola ...and callie!" She saw the two of them by the pentagram.

As Alex walked along the sidewalk to Leola's shop, she decided to go inside. She walked slowly up to the roof, not sure if she should really be here, of if Leola and the other girls wanted her there.
When Alex got to the roof, she saw Olivia, Callie, and Leola all by the pentagram. "Hi." She said quietly, her voice scratchy. Alex wasn't sure if she was needed, or wanted here, hell, she wasn't sure of anything.
She wasn't sure if she wanted to be a witch anymore, she wasn't sure if Leola still liked her after the lunchroom scene, and she wasn't even sure if she wanted to be alive anymore.

Leola smiled as she heard Olivia behind her. "Greetings Olivia. Do you mind bringing over that wine bottle by the door? We need it for the ritual today." Leola had started placing the candles down at the four corners of the pentagram. It wasn't long after Olivia arrived that Alex joined them on the roof. Hi. Leola looked up to see the girl hovering near the door. The feelings coming off of Alex, only made Leola regret how she handled the situation yesterday. She had been a bit harsh toward Alex by telling her she would bind her powers if she couldn't handle them. Leola gave the girl a warm smile and walked up to her and hugged her. "Welcome my little firebird."

I stuffed my hands in my pocket leaning over the edge of the building. "So we doing this or what?" I asked with raised eyebrows. At least Alez and Ollie were here, they seemed to calm me down around Owens. The cool New York breeze ruffled my hair as the mintues wasted away,

Alex half-smiled when Leola called her Firebird. Then, she took a deep breath.
"Leola, I think we need to talk about what happened the other day in lunch." Alex said, looking down.
She was too afraid to look Leola in the eyes, so she just kept her head down.
"Im really sorry about the whole thing. Really I am. I mean, ever since I left school that day i've been thinking about the whole situation and everything, and, im sorry." Alex said, an unwanted tear slipping down her cheek.

"Oh Alex. I know you are deeply sorry about it. And I am sorry too about any talk of binding your powers. Its just that we all have to be more careful about not exposing our gifts to the rest of the world. They simply wouldn't understand it. But don't worry we can work on it. " Leola hugged Alex again. "If you want you can ask the goddess that today with the ritual, unless you have something else planned to ask her?" Leola smiled at Alex again and lead her over to the other girls by the pentagram. To answer Callie's question, "We will be starting soon. As soon as brianna gets here."

Brianna walked quickly down the streets of Soho toward FC bookstore. It had been one crazy night at the ball, one that she almost wanted to forget. Her bitterness toward Callie was still there which was why she decided to join in with the ritual. Callie never really liked Leola and with that infomation, Brianna hoped Callie wasn't at the ritual. She knew it was a horrible thing to feel toward a fellow sister but all was fair in love and war. Brianna stormed into the bookstore without a glance toward the person behind the counter. Brianna marched up the steps to the roof. As soon as she opened the door she saw Callie there. She cussed herself for even waking up in the morning. But it was too late now, she was here and everyone was waiting on her. "Let's get this started." She walked over to the pentagram and took her position in the west spot of the circle for water.

I rubbed the back of my neck, trying to calm myself. Last night was not good, I let my evil side get in the way, problem was I liked it. "Let's get this started" I turned to the voice and ashamed look back down. I could never forgive myself for what I did to Brie...but she was taking it too far. I apolgized and she...I shook my head turning my gaze to the ground. Great now i'll have Leola and Brie scratching at my back.

Olivia picked up the red wine bottle by the door before joining Leola and Callie by the pentagram. A gentle spring breeze brush against her skin and air. It was such a beautiful day. Olivia only hope that everyone else would be able to appreciate it and not let dramas from the other night ruin it. Olivia placed the wine bottle in the center of the Pentagram where the chalice was. The roof top door opened and Alex appeared looking quite upset. Leola went over to comfort here. From what Olivia could hear it was about the lunchroom scene from he other day. Alex had made a fireball appear in the middle of a crowded lunchroom. Leola seemed quite upset after that but not as upset as Alex was. As Alex approach the pentagram with Leola, Olivia gave her a small smile. Olivia knew how hard it was to control your powers. Again the roof door opened and Brianna stepped forward. Now if anyone was upset and pissed off, it was Brianna. "Let's get this started." Olivia had read the message that Gossip Girl sent out the other night. Callie had slept with Tristan, whom Brianna had grow an attraction to. The girls quietly got into their places; Olivia took the position of East, the position of Air. Leola stayed on the outside of the circle. "Alright girls I'm going to head downstairs. If any of your other sisters come I'll direct them up here." Leola told the girls before leaving them be. Lately she has been giving the girls more space when practicing their spells. Once the girls were alone, Olivia addressed them. "Okay let's try and put the negativity of recent events behind us and start by calling the corners." Olivia looked to North, Callie's Earth position.
