"Long way away from home, Tex." Shane grinned. He liked the nickname, Tex. He hadn't thought about it before but coming from her, it had a nice ring to it. "I'm born, bred, and raised here. New Yorker." "I knew I would find a few of you around here." He joked. Shane watched her begin to doodle something. He wasn't much of a drawer, which was why he wanted music not art but he didn't mind watching other people draw. Once again a piece of her hair flew back into her eye. He chuckled softly as she moved it away again. "I'm sure you'll find your way around, but I can help if you want me to." "That would be great! I bet you know a lot of cool places around here. I might also need help around the school. It's a pretty big building." Shane was sure he could find his way around but what fun would that be when he could have a pretty girl showing him around.

"I knew I'd find a few of you around here." Abby chuckled at him, smiling as the picture she drew began to take form.
"We're a rare breed, just joking there's lots of New Yorkers here. But alot are imigrants of other states for work."
When he said he'd like her to show him around town and school, she gave a grin to him. "Let me see your class schedule." She held out her hand for it, fingers brushing when he would hand it to her. "I haven't got anything to do after school, I can show you a few highlights of town. If you'd like?" She would lie to her daddy and say she had to meet some friends to discuss a banquet for school.

"We're a rare breed, just joking there's lots of New Yorkers here. But alot are imigrants of other states for work." Shane chuckled at her little joke about New Yorkers being a rare breed. She had a quirky little sense of humor about her that he found kinda charming. "Let me see your class schedule." Shane stuck his hand into his pant pock and pulled out a folded piece of paper. He unfolded it several times and handed it over to her. "I haven't got anything to do after school, I can show you a few highlights of town. If you'd like?" 'That would be great. I don't have anything to do either so I got the whole afternoon free' He hoped that John and ville didn't need him and even if they did he could bs and say he was following a lead on something. He bullshited a lot so they other hunters were use to it by now.

"Great! Then it's a da- a plan." She changed her wording carefully. She wasn't allowed on a date, had never really been on one. Daddy had never allowed, to afraid she'd spilled what had happened. But some how she didn't care right now. It was like a date, only not.
"I could show you Time Square, the Empire State Building, and I know it's lame but the ferris wheel in Toys r' us is really awesome." She blushed hotly, finishing some final touches on her drawing of a forest with trees and a few flowers.

"Great! Then it's a da- a plan." Shane smiled. He thought for a moment she was going to say date but he watched her retrace her steps instead. He was kinda glad she didn't say date. For one thing, Shane wasn't the type a guy that liked dating. He liked going out with his friends for a good time but the pressure of a date, well he just didn't like that. "I could show you Time Square, the Empire State Building, and I know it's lame but the ferris wheel in Toys r' us is really awesome." The first two really didn't get him too excited. Those seemed to be tourists spots which he wasn't too interested in seeing. But the last one, the Toys R Us one, now that one did get his attention. His eyes lit up like a little kid. "Oh I heard about that Toys R Us! Its suppose to be HUGE!"

Abby grinned, "Now I wasn't expecting that reply. I thought you'd think I was crazy. It is huge! I've road it twice. With my... brother." She wondered if he could hear how hesitantly she said brother, how it fell from her mouth like a scalding hot word.
"So what time do you want to meet?" She hoped he wouldn't say he'd pick her up at her house. That would be horrible. Her dad.. it would be all over.

"Now I wasn't expecting that reply. I thought you'd think I was crazy. It is huge! I've road it twice. With my... brother." Most people would think he would have grown out of it but no way, shane was one big kid. He figured he would never grow up, he liked to live in neverland. When she meantioned her brother, there was a large shift in the tone of her voice. He wasn't sure whether or not to say something. Since he just met her he decided to let it go. "So what time do you want to meet?" "How about right after school? I have no plans'

Abby laughed with a smile, "Okay, how about 4 outside the school? We can go to time square and then into the Toys 'r' Us and be big kids." She continued to doodle on her page, starting to draw what she saw. Shane. She had a natural skill to draw, which was helpful in art class, and it calmed her neves to draw.
She chewed on her pencil nevously and then continued to draw. "So why did you move here?"

"Thank god, your okay" Olivia hugged Callie back. "Ya it was so scary. Im glad the guys were there." As she thought back to the night, she couldn't believe how lucky she was to have met hunters at the bar only minutes before the attack. Were they there cause they knew Caleb would be there? Or were they hunting all supernaturals? Olivia caught Callie looking at her drawing. The whole thing jogged another memory. Ville had told her to stay away from Callie. "You know him." It wasn't a question. If Ville told her to stay away from Callie then the two of them must have met and Ville wasn't giving her any answers.

Callie was caught off guard for a second, but Olivia had always been the smart one out of them. She avoided her eyes and the painting as she looked at her own project. "Once, it didn't last long. Bump in the street that kind of thing" Callie brushed it off, trying to make it into nothing, which it was. It was a mistake for him to let her go...why did Ville let her live?

"Once, it didn't last long. Bump in the street that kind of thing" Olivia wasn't buying it. For one thing, Ville was so presistent on making sure that she didn't hang around Callie again. Olivia moved her chair closer to Callie as their conversation continued. "Then why does he not like you so much. He doesn't want me hanging around you which I thought was crazy cause you are my good friend. He sounded like you were going to hurt me or something. Come one tell me who this guy is. "

Callie's head snapped to Olivia when she said that and that made her pissed as hell. "He told you what?!" but soon realized how loud she was and whispered firecly to Ollie. "Look, that guy was a prick because i wouldn't sleep with him. He apparently has Daddy issues"

"He told you what?!" Olivia told Callie to be quiet even though she heard Ms. Owens telling her to do the same from in front of the classroom. "He just told me to ...not hang around you. " "Look, that guy was a prick because i wouldn't sleep with him. He apparently has Daddy issues" "He wanted to sleep with you....' Olivia looked deeply hurt by the news. Here she was thinking that this guy liked her but now it was only because her friend, her better looking friend didn't want to sleep with him. She couldn't even look down at her own drawing of him. Her stomach was turning at the thought.

Callie looked back at Olivia and put her hand on her shoulder and smiled a little. "Hey, he got bored of me. Realized I was just another waste of time. Whatever he means to you must mean more" Callie hated seeing her hurt, especially Olivia, because they barely talked anymore and sometimes she felt like she had to protect her.

"Okay, how about 4 outside the school? We can go to time square and then into the Toys 'r' Us and be big kids." Shane grinned. "That sounds perfect. " Shane was starting to feel pretty proud of himself. It was only his first day and already he had his afternoon planned with a cute girl. Things were turning up for him now that he left morganville. Shane watched her draw on for a few minutes. He hoped she didn't mind it. He had nothing better to do since he didn't have his own project to do. She must of felt his eyes on her since she continued the conversation. "So why did you move here?" There was the million dollar question. Shane couldn't tell her the truth and he couldn't really remember the fake one. "My stepdad's job took him here." It was kinda true. John was like a 'stepdad' and his 'job' with the company did take him here to kill vampires.
