"Um..." he stuttered as she placed her hand on his chest and then his on hers. "I... Maybe?"
"So I think we are past the point that I would die from you sharing too much to me." she finished.
"But I might," he admitted. Mr. Demonte hated feeling like this... so vulnerable. She breached his walls. No one had ever been able to do that with him, well besides his old roommate in college. They were best friends and then...
Suddenly Mr. Demonte barricaded himself up again. He didn't want to talk about it. And he really didn't want to even think about it. He turned away from her, folding his arms across his chest. His face was blank and stoney.

"But I might," Phoebe smiled as she stared up into his eyes. She started to get butterflies in her stomach and just a warm feeling all over. Sometimes she hated how easily she could fall for a guy. But just like that, the connection was blocked off on his end. Her smile faded some as he turned away from her. She stepped around him again and seat on the edge of the table. She didn't want to push it that far today. She watched as his wall began to rebuild itself. "Is there anything you want to know about me?" she was afraid that she lost him already today.

"Is there anything you want to know about me?" she asked him, sitting on the table.
Mr. Demonte stared at the floor, shifting to the side. Head still facing down, his eyes looked up at her. "There are a lot of things I could ask you," he smirked. Honestly, out of all the teachers, Miss Goodwin was the one who intrigued him the most. He felt silly though because he didn't even know her first name. Hanging out with his coworkers wasn't one of his past times."I'll start off easy," he began looking at her questioningly. "What's your first name?" He added a charming smile at the end, hoping to hell she didn't get offended.

Phoebe watched him closely as he would look up at her through his lashes. It was something that made her smile since it sent butterflies in her stomach again. Mr. Demonte definitely had the looks of a lady killer, now Phoebe just had to bring out the personality to match it. She was sure it was in there, something. Okay maybe it was heavily guarded but she could break into it...someday. "There are a lot of things I could ask you," "Hit me I'm open" "I'll start off easy," "Fine enough." "What's your first name?" That's when he hit her was a drop-dead charming smile that just warmed your heart and caused Phoebe to blush a little. She had to break eye contact to answer him. "Phoebe and your's? Phoebe knew his first name, William. She just wanted to hear him say it.

Mr. Demonte noticed her blush, and smiled to himself. This was the usual affect he had on women, especially the quiet ones. "Phoebe and your's?" she asked him. Phoebe? He liked the sound of that because it was different. He never met a Phoebe before.
"Phoebe, hm? Nice." He paused for a minute before answering her."William," he said simply. "Or just Will, whichever." As much as Mr. Demonte loved to hate small talk, it wasn't too bad with her. "Actually, no one really calls me that anymore," he added with a shrug. "Because I don't really talk to anyone. The only people I talk to are my students, which address my the proper way."

"Phoebe, hm? Nice." She smiled getting a reaction she actually enjoyed out of him. "Thank you I rather like it myself." The meaning behind her name actually did fit her personality; bright and shining. She guessed her mother knew the moment she was born that Phoebe would just be a bundle of light. William, or just will, whichever. Actually, no one really calls me that anymore, because I don't really talk to anyone. The only people I talk to are my students, which address me the proper way." That was one of the longest things that Phoebe had heard him say to her and she learned so much more about him. Phoebe leaned forward and smiled at him. Her posure and expression just read playful which she usual was. "Well then I'm just going to call you Will then. Hello there, Will. Pleasure to meet you." She held out her right hand for him to shake.

"Well then I'm just going to call you Will then. Hello there, Will. Pleasure to meet you."
Mr. Demonte shook his head and chuckled. This whole conversation was so strange to him, so different. "You're something else, Phoebe," he said with a genuine smile holding out his hand. As much as he tried to keep his walls up, she kept finding her way in. Mr. Demonte didn't want to admit it, but he liked it that way.
Forgetting about their little arguement they had a little while ago, he leaned on the table next to her. A smile was still on his face as he glanced at her, trying to read her. Every other girl or women he had met or slept with were so shallow and predictable. She was somehow completely different. "I still haven't gotten anything done," he said half heartedly.

The sound of his chuckle just melted her heart. She got some geniune reaction out of him; her one good deal a day was done, hell this could count for the week. "You're something else, Phoebe," She gave him a friendly handshake. "Thank you very much. I try to be. It's too boring being like everyone else" She sound proud of herself cause he really did give her a complement. She loved being orginial and kind of out there; to her it was exciting and interesting to be that way. "I still haven't gotten anything done," Phoebe laughed a good whole hearted laugh. "Oh, are you still worried about that? I'm sorry." She pretended to look guilty but really she was enjoying herself and Will's company. "Come on, you know you are having a least a tiny bit more fun talking to someone than grading papers. Unless you really want to go back to getting a migraine headache." She leaned back casually on the table and gave him a smile. She hoped he wouldn't want to go back to grading.

"No, this is much better than grading papers," he said looking over to her, giving her another debonair smile. And Mr. Demonte was being honest; he really did enjoy his time with her. "I guess I could just finish them later sometime. Its not like I have anything better to do." He ran a hand through his hair, a habit of his, and looked over at the clock. It was about fifteen minutes unitl the next class began. He didn't want to go, though it would be nice to be a bit closer to the end of the day.

"No, this is much better than grading papers," Phoebe grinned, checked one for her. She was glad she could get him to loosen up even if it was for only one period. "I guess I could just finish them later sometime. Its not like I have anything better to do." "True....or you could have a drink with me later and we can continue the fun." She tried to sound sly as she stuck in a little date invite into the mix. It was a risky move, she had to admit but everything was going so well today that she just had to try. She remained calm and relaxed as she waited for his answer.

"True....or you could have a drink with me later and we can continue the fun."
His ears perked up as she finished her sentence. Mr. Demonte turned to her with a smirk. "Are you asking me out for a date?" he said chuckling. Now things were starting to get interesting. This was Demonte's game of choice. "I guess I could go out with you tonight," he said mysteriously. "How about that place downtown on 45th? 8 o'clock?" he inquired, his hand subconsciously going up to his neck to loosen his tie. He smiled at her again and stood up to grab his things. It was just about time for the next class to begin. Mr. Demonte headed for the door, but turned around to give her a wink before he left.

"Are you asking me out for a date?" Phoebe just laughed at him and gave him a cocky smirk. "Please don't be too surprised." She leaned back again on the table to take in his full expression. It was priceless. "I guess I could go out with you tonight," Phoebe bite her tongue so she wouldn't say another smart-ass remark. look at him thinking that he won.. she thought to herself. "How about that place downtown on 45th? 8 o'clock?" "Sounds wonderful. I'll just be counting each minute until then." Phoebe stayed seated on top of the table as Will packed up to head to his first class. She would start packing when he left. She was still soaking in the moment. She grinned as he winked at her at the door. "See you later, Will"
