Alex whipped around at the sound of an unfamiliar male voice. When she saw the guy, she smirked.
"Hi, im Alex." She said, making her voice that seducting tone she always used when she flirted, husky and scratchy.
He's pretty hot. Alex thought, eyeing him up and down, still smirking.

Olivia looked over as everyone kept commenting on Tristan, but as everyone kept their eyes on him Olivia noticed how happy Brianna was. Even though Brianna was easily amusing, right now she seemed extra happy. Which was why Olivia didn't join in on their bashing of Tristan. Olivia tried to rejoin the conversation as it moved away from Tristan. "I didn't know you had a brother, Alex?!" the new piece of information shocked her. Why hadn't Alex told her about her brother? That seemed like a large piece of information to keep from your friends. As Olivia became lost in thought about the missing brother, she noticed Callie moving away from the group. Her eyes followed her to the bar where she began talking to a guy. She wasn't sure who he was but something just told her that it could be Nicholas. Her stomach fell. It was just her luck.

Nicholas raised the glass of scotch to his lips and took a sip, letting the liquid slide down his throat. Nicholas had always been a heavy drinker, even as a human. And by heavy, it was meant that he was almost an alcoholic. Part of the reason that he had been turned into a vampire was due to his excessive drinking. Sure, the drinking had been in response to immense grief, but he wouldn't have drank that much if he wasn't a borderline alcoholic in the first place. Sighing, Nicholas shoved those thoughts to the very back of his mind as he smelled a rather familiar scent headed right his way. Nicholas arched a brow and turned his head just in time to see whom he now presumed to be Callie, headed right his way. A small chuckle escaped Nicholas's lips and he took another relaxed sip of his scotch. Nicholas arched a brow and smirked at her.
"I'm glad you noticed. I appreciate it." Nicholas said, nodding his head as a smirk tugged at the corners of his lips. ”Do you like the mask? I thought you would.” Nicholas added, taking yet another sip of his scotch. Not wanting to come off as an alcoholic, Nicholas placed the half empty glass on the table next to him and stuffed his hands into his pockets. ”How’ve you been Callie?” He questioned, dropping his voice.

I almost caught my tounge in my throat when I heard his voice. It was Nicholas, the one person I didn't expect to see...ever.agian. Of course what am I thinking! He goes to the same school, of course I would see him agian. "How've you been, Callie?" He asked in that alluring tone. I rolled my eyes taking the drink in front of me. "You pulled all your tricks the first time..." I said, taking a mouthful of the sparkling liquid. Thats just cruel I thought thinking over my woods. "I've been better, and yourself?"

At Callie's more sarcastic remark, Nicholas arched a brow, a smirk tugging at the corners of his lips. Nicholas had to admit that he was slightly offended at the remark, but he really was not one to show his true feelings. Ever since Miranda had died, Nicholas had learned that it was easier to cover up his real feelings with sarcasm and wit. "Tricks? Those weren't tricks. I can't help it if you found me....well, irresistible."Nicholas replied, smirking broadly. Nicholas chuckled, taking one hand out of his pocket so that he could pick up his glass and take another drink. "Been better? What seems to be the matter? I'm rather well myself." Nicholas replied, curious as to what was bothering Callie.

I opened my mouth for another remark, but bit my lip thinking about it because I knew he was right. It was something about him, the pale skin and those dark eyes that I could just...stop I told myself throwing the glass back and swollowing every drop and then looked beyond Nic's head to see Tristian talking with Brie. "I try my best to take care of my friends, but sometimes....sometimes its out of my hands" I said, tapping my fingers nervously on the table before looking back at Nic. I hadb't expect him to sympathize me since I was just another one to him and the other way around for me. God, I hate to be uptight at a party.

Olivia watched from the side lines as Callie continued to talk it up with the mystery man, whom she kept increasingly thinking it was Nicholas. She foolish in thinking dressing like this would make her stand out in a room full of goddesses, it only made her blend in more. Hell Jacob still didn't see a difference between her and the wall. Olivia was always plain jane and that would never change. In a sigh of defeat, Olivia excused herself politely from the remaining room and headed across the ball. She was going to freshen up in the ladies room. She was too busy knocking herself down to notice that she almost ran right into someone. "oh Im so sorry" She looked up to see a warm smile of a man, he looked older than your average high schooler. "Not at all a problem." His voice had that velvety British accent. He offered his hand for a dance. Olivia took it not thinking twice.

Post by Azazeal 'Caleb' Barrier on Mar 27, 2009 23:47:00 GMT -5
At first, Caleb didn't want to go to some high school party. Though as the night got closer, it seemed like it was hard to resist since the ball was just floors under him. The New York coven had their home on top of the Pierre Hotel and for so many human kids to be crammed under them, their aromas were hard to miss. Caleb was even giving Nicholas shit all night for getting ready for some stupid dance. The kid was just too nick-picky with how he got ready. When Caleb decided to go to the ball, all it took for him to get ready was a simple back tux with a crimson shirt under it. Even Caleb's mask was a simple black ceramic one. He took one look at himself in the mirror and combed his hair and that was it. He took the elevator down to the ballroom. When the doors opened, he took one long deep breathe and took in the senses. It made his mouth water. A few steps out of the elevator, he almost ran into the girl, though really it was like she had ran into him. He would forgive her since she was dressed up to match him perfectly. The two were wearing black and red though her mask was gold. "Oh Im so sorry" he grinned since she seemed genuinely sorry. "Not at all a problem." He offered his hand for a dance like he would of done ages ago when he was still human. Girls now-a-days loved the gentleman act. The girl blushed and took his hand. This would be too easy. He lead her over to where the others were dancing. He propositioned them in the center of the dance floor. With centuries of practice, Caleb was an excellent dancer. The two of them lit up the dance floor with the help of his lead. Most of the dancers had to make way for the both of them. He loved being in the spotlight. As he motioned her around the dance floor, Caleb caught sight of Nicholas and winked at him. He was going to have some fun tonight.

She was stumped and had no reply. Nicholas refrained from smirking, thinking that if he showed too much pleasure over the fact that she had just proven his previous statement correct, Callie would in fact, retort in some sort of manner. Nicholas kept his smirk to himself, merely enjoying the fact that Callie knew that he was right and had made it rather clear by not responding to his previous comment. Nicholas sighed, feeling rather content with himself and he couldn't help but think that around Callie, he could act pretty much like his usual arrogant self without fear of any sorts of repercussions. It was a pretty good feeling to just be as obnoxious as one wanted. Hearing why Callie was not at her best, Nicholas arched a brow and followed her eyes to look upon one of the other witches talking to a tall guy. Confused, Nicholas scratched the back of his neck. "What, you don't want her getting with that guy or something?" Nicholas questioned.
As he waited for Callie's reply, Nicholas noticed a rather familiar scent in the air. Nicholas's hand stopped mid-way to his mouth as he had been lifting his scotch glass. Instantly, his eyes darted from the witch and that other guy, across the room. In an instant, Nicholas spotted a vampire, Azazeal, to be more precise, leading Olivia onto the dance floor. Nicholas narrowed his eyes, feeling his grip on his scotch glass tighten. What was he doing here? Nicholas had firmly believed that this was his job, and his alone. Nicholas also hated to admit it, but he was also a bit worried about what Azazeal wanted with Olivia. Azazeal was almost as notorious, if not just as, of a womanizer as Nicholas was. When Azazeal winked at him, Nicholas furrowed his brows and looked disgusted, feeling his grip on his scotch glass tighten even more to the point where it cracked on one side.
All of a sudden, Nicholas felt his phone vibrating. At first, Nicholas had been totally and utterly against the idea of purchasing a cellphone because he hated conforming to the times, but he had given in and purchased on. Dropping his eyes, Nicholas pulled out his phone and read the text message. Nicholas arched a brow upon reading it and stuck his tongue into his cheek. "Seems like I'm not the only irresistible one then, eh?" He questioned, looking at Callie. It probably wasn't the nicest thing to say at that moment, but Nicholas wasn't really a nice person.
