*3:42 AM. Abandoned Dance Hall. 42nd street and 3rd Main*
I held fast to the duffel bag as I pried a pieace of wood off the door. The night air was chilly and espically didn't help the drafty empty building. "Come on" I mumbled as I felt splinters forcing themselves through my skin.
I gave one more push as the nails uplifted from the rotten road and broke off. I threw the board to the ground and sighed. God, I wish I could have practiced earlier I thought, lowering my head and walking through the barcaed door.
I walked in through th right left stage door and felt my way with my feet, knowing I was only walking on dust and god knows what. I took 7 steps and ran into a wall. My fingersw trailed on the wall, feeling only peeled wall paper and spider webs, then my tips met a square shape. I flipped the light switch and old eletric light turned on above the large empty stage. I sat my duffel bag on the ground and took out my ballet shoes.

As Nicholas sucked out the very last drop of blood from the human body he smirked before unclenching his fists, letting the body drop to the floor. Nicholas smirked, wiped his mouth with the back of his hand and glanced down at his hand. Nicholas arched a brow, suprised that there wasn't a single drop of blood anywhere on his hand, or anywhere else on his body for that matter. Nicholas chuckled to himself, congratulating himself for having been a very clean eater this time around. Sighing, Nicholas stretched his arms above his head before pushing the now lifeless human body with the tip of his leather, designer shoes. He pushed the body a few times until it was well hidden by the shadows of the alley. With that, Nicholas casually stuffed his hands into his pockets and walked out of the alley. As Nicholas stepped out onto east 67th street, he glanced up and down, pleased to see that no one had taken notice of him.
With that, Nicholas began his walk downtown, towards the Times Square area. Nicholas walked quickly downtown and in about twenty minutes he found himself on west 42nd street. Looking up and down the street, Nicholas was about to cross the avenue to start heading towards Times Square when he noticed a light, sweet scent in the air. Nicholas stopped in his tracks and sniffed the air a few times when he realized that it was the same sweet, human scent he had smelled when he had first met Olivia. However, the scent was different enough for Nicholas to know that it wasn't Olivia, but another witch. A smirk found its way onto Nicholas's face and he turned on his heel and walked right in the direction of where the scent was coming from. Within two minutes, Nicholas found himself in front of an old, abandoned dance hall. However, a few of the boards were missing.
Nicholas looked at the dust covered boards with a disgusted look on his face before sighing and stepping into the nasty place. As he stepped inside, Nichola's eyes instantly adjusted to the dimmer light and he saw a pretty, blonde girl sitting on the stage. Nicholas stepped out to stand underneath the light bulb and he cleared his throat. "You know, I don't think you're supposed to be in here." Nicholas said, his British accent lacing every word. Nicholas arched a brow at her, stuffed his hands into his pockets and tilted his head ever so slightly to the right.

I started to tie the second lace when a voice rang out behind me. I turned quickly to see a boy underneath the light just sitting there. "You know, I don't think you're supposed to be in here" he said, his voice sneering of a english accent. There was something egmatic about him as I scrambled to stand up. The shadows of the dark and light hit his face just right, his turned down nose and sharp cheek browns and pale complexion. "Neither are you" I spit back. Jesus I really needed to practice.

Nicholas watched as the girl laced up her ballet shoes and a smirk found its way onto his face. Nicholas had always had a certain soft spot for dancers and he chuckled inwardly. Just because he had been told to find out information on the witches didn't mean he couldn't have a bit of...fun while he was at it. No one had ever said anything about being against that type of behavior and after all, there was no denying that the girl was attractive. Nicholas's smirk grew and he crossed one foot over the other, leaning his side against the closest wall.
Hearing the girl's response, Nicholas snorted before letting out a chuckle. So this one had some spunk to her. Nicholas had to admit that he was rather pleased about that fact. It had been quite some time since Nicholas had last engaged in some witty banter and he was looking forward to it.
"True." Nicholas replied casually with a shrug of his shoulders. "But then again, I just so happened to be walking by this abandoned building when I noticed that a few of the boards were missing and I saw a flicker of light from the inside." Nicholas said, faking a tone of concern in his voice. Nicholas arched a brow and smirked, "See how it easy it is for me to just play the role of the concerned citizen if any sort of authorities should appear? For you...not so much." Nicholas added, smirking. "But in any case, don't let me keep you from your practice."

I smirked and then bit down so he didn't see. Now this was interesting, plus I had a thing for foregin guys. I stood upm my eyes gracing over his amazing eyes that almost seemed to have a red tint to them. "I can appear innocent-" I said, turned my back to him, putting my hair up into a bun, letting half of my bare back be exposed. "-I'm a pretty good actress" i said with a smirk. "And, I could always have some crtiqism for my dance" I said, looking over my shoulder to him, my lips i full pout.

Nicholas couldn't help but chuckle when the girl said that she could be a good actress. With his signature smirk firmly planted on his face, Nicholas ran a hand through his hair in order to make sure that it still had that perfect messy look in it. Nicholas arched the brow as he watched the girl pull her hair up into a bun, exposing her back. Inwardly, Nicholas chuckled. Oh yes, he was definitely going to have a bit of fun with this one if he could help it. "See love, you may think you're a good actress, but you've got nothing on my skills." Nicholas teased back. Nicholas pursed his lips as if he were in thought, "Though I might be out of luck if the arriving officer happens to be a male." Nicholas mused, looking up at the ceiling as if he was actually deep in thought. Nicholas chuckled at the thought of ever trying to verbally convince the authorities of anything. Nicholas's solutions were simple. He could either pay them off, or drain them of enough blood so that they fainted but didn't die.
"You want me to stay and critique your dance moves?" Nicholas questioned. He shrugged his shoulders. "Well, okay. Are you any good?" Nicholas teased. In his mind, Nicholas figured that the girl had to be pretty dedicated to her dancing if she was willing to sneak into old, abandonded buildings. "Well look at this, we've already talked about evading the authorities together and yet I don't know your name. The name's Nicholas. What's yours?" He questioned. Nicholas wanted to know which witch he had come across tonight for he had already met Olivia and Alex.

"The name's Nicholas. What's yours?" he asked with a smirk. I lean my right toe to the floor, streaching my calves. "They call me Callie." I said, twisting my foot back to straighten it out. I arched my back, trying to pop it as I did my warm ups. "I'm sure you find it strange for someone like me to be wandering old buildings late at night" I said, with a teasing smile. My bright blues flashed up to him.

Nicholas smiled when Callie replied. "Callie? Well, you don't hear a name like that everyday." Nicholas mused, a casual, light tone in his voice. As he leaned against the wall, Nicholas was careful not to place all of his weight against the wall for he didn't know just how stable the walls were in this place and vampiric strength could easily break a lot of things. "It's a nice name. I like it." Nicholas added, arching a brow and lifting his eyes to Callie's face to see her reaction at that statement. Callie seemed like a confident, cool girl and Nicholas wondered just how much poking on his part it would take to get her flustered. The girls that got flustered too easily were always such a bore to Nicholas because he was a man who needed some sort of challenge. That had been exactly why he had fallen in love with Miranda in the first place.
As the thought of his now, long deceased wife came to his mind, Nicholas frowned and desperately tried to push the thought to the back of his mind. Nicholas's grief over Miranda had been what had resulted in his being changed and Nicholas knew if her gave much thought to Miranda's death he would drive himself absolutely stark mad. As he pushed the thought to the very back of his mind, Nicholas's frown smoothed out and he smirked once more, watching Callie as she gracefully warmed up. Nicholas's smirk grew wider as he remembered why he had always had a soft spot for dancers. They were always much more graceful than other women and much more confident.
"In fact, I do find it rather strange." Nicholas replied. "You aren't here to engage in some sort of illegal activity are you? You're not using this whole dancing routine as a cover up, eh?" Nicholas teased. "I do hope I'm not interrupting some sort of drug exchange." Nicholas joked, teasingly glancing over his shoulder as if he expected someone to be standing right behind him.

I raised my eyebrows at him "liking" my name as he contuined to babble. This guys WAS strange, he should have heard my real name I thought, shrugging my shoulder. I turned to lay on my back, rotating my legs into the air, pointing my toes. "Acutally, want to hear the real reason i'm here?" I asked, my mouth teaked in a sneer. "I killed a dancer practicing, stole her shoes and was just trying them on when you came in" I said, trying to surpress my smile. This was very cool on ice, nothing fazed him, they were aways the hardest to break.

Nicholas arched a brow and smirked. "The real reason you're here?" He questioned. "Sure, I guess." He mused, wondering what sort of witty response this girl was going to come up with. Nicholas glanced around the place, looking for someplace to sit. Standing didn't bother Nicholas at all. In fact, he could stand for hours on end without moving a muscle, but that wasn't how humans were. Nicholas knew that humans got tired after standing for a while. Seeing an old bench just a few feet from the stage, Nichola sauntered over to it and wrinkled his nose upon seeing that it had some dust on it. Brushing the dust with his hand, Nicholas carefully sat down on the bench. When the bench didn't break under his weight, he relaxed.
Hearing Callie's reply, Nicholas laughed wholeheartedly. "Really?" He exclaimed, smirking. "I should have known. Silly me. So," Nicholas dropped his voice and leaned forward as if they were sharing a secret, "Where'd you hide the body?" He questioned, winking at Callie.

I stood up pulling up my skirt. "Now, if I told you that, I'd have to kill you" I said, sha-shaying my legs. I flexed my legs before kneeling over my bag. This guy was strange, somethings about him seemed uneasy, unatural, but he was just to fun. I took about a small CD player and put my CD in. I took a deep breath, exiting all my nerves ignoring Nic. I pressed play and then waited for the second to go. "Kiss my eyes and lay me to sleep" sang the guy. The hard guitars and the violens mixed perfectly as I did a pique, leaning balls of my feet.

Nicholas arched a brow as he felt a broad smirk coming over his face. "You'd have to kill me, eh?" he questioned, a small chuckle escaping his lips as he thought about Callie even trying to kill him. Even with whatever powers Callie had, Nicholas figured he could get away with nothing more than maybe a few scratches. Nicholas figured that his super speed and strength would keep him from getting any other injury. "I'd like to see you even try that." Nicholas retorted, a smirk on his lips as he looked up at Callie.
As the song began playing, Nicholas leaned his hand back on the bench and casually leaned against his arm as he watched Callie. The girl seemed to have some moves and Nicholas was enjoying watching her move about the stage with grace. Vaguely, Nicholas wondered what Callie would move like in a club. As the thought came to mind, Nicholas supressed a chuckle. He was always one to get ahead of himself. Mentally, Nicholas reminded himself to take it once step at a time because regardless of where they went, Nicholas definitely intended to have at least a bit of fun with Callie.

I cocked my head over to my shoulder, my eyes closed as I felt my body swing to the music. I tired so hard to keep my eyes on the music and not him watching me. Who was he? Why on earth was he wondering the streets of New York at night, he seemed to be a foreginer, which explained some. I simply nodded my head to the music. I head couldn't get that infamous smirk out of my thoughts, he didn't seem like the rest of the boys at school, he was a....man. I ignored the music as the final note played. My feet simply moved to the nothing beat, but something happened when I felt my foot slip and my body started to fall on the rotten floor boards.

Nicholas watched as Callie went about doing her routine. Nicholas definitely liked the grace with which she moved about the stage and he followed her moves with his eyes, his trademark smirk firmly plastered on his face. As Callie went about doing her routine, Nicholas tought about what he had learned about the witches so far. As he realized that he hadn't realized too much about them yet, he almost scowled. However, Nicholas resisted the urge to frown, merely keeping his smirk on his face. Realizing that he really needed to get a move on with his research, Nicholas decided that if he spent enough time around Callie tonight, he'd try to find out a few things about her and the other witches.
Nicholas was thinking about just how he was going to accomplish that goal, when his sensitive ears picked up an unusual noise in the floorboards beneath Callie's feet. Nicholas instantly snapped out of his thoughts, turning his full attention back onto Callie's dancing form. Nicholas heard the floorboards creak once more and he stood up as a precaution, when just a moment later, Nicholas heard the floorboards breaking. Eyes going wide, Nicholas ran forward, catching Callie in his arms just in time, before she fell. With Callie firmly in his arms, Nicholas looked down at her and smirked. "And here you had me fooled that you were extremely graceful." He teased, his smirk only growing wider.

I felt my body fall lightly into his arms before I could stop myself. I put my hands agianst his chest, feeling...nothing. "And here you had me fooled that you were extremely graceful" he said, his mouth full of that smirk. I pulled myself off him, tucking a loose hair behind me ear. "Please, I could caught myself" I said, a thin line of crude humor on my voice. "I don't need a savior" I said, turned my back to him. I was out of my comfort soon....and I knew it.
